Chapter 9: Barrels out of Bound
I really like how this chapter starts. Last chapter we felt the dwarves steadily worn down, and now with the elve's ambush they just give up. "There was no thought of a fight. Even if the dwarves had not been in such a state that they were actually glad to be captured..." Great way to show their fatigue. I also appreciated the comparison between the elven caves and the goblin caves, and it reminds me we have seen hobbit holes also, and soon we will see dwarf holes. Where bilbo proved himself as a fighter in the past chapter, here he delves deep in the stealth skill. The solution to how to get everyone out is straight out of a crazy D&D player or "how do we infiltrate that castle", very fun.
