I recently read through this damn series (Or at least a bit of it, I'm at the part where Eridan and Gamzee go batshit) and I decided to look for some fanfictions for it. The only good ones I found on ffn were an Avengers crossover and a drabble collection. Well, there was also a Sollux/Eridan slash fic that pretty good, but I opened it on a whim and never checked its title.

So pretty much any fics that you all know about, I don't care about spoilers, would be appreciated.

 

What's wrong with Homestuck? It seems decent enough even if it is way longer than it has any right to be.

 

Is that the one with the horns? I've got nothing. Something, something alternate reality computers?

 

I read homestuck. It can be pretty fun, but definitely the start is boring and very long, which puts most people off. Main appeal to it is the crazy, reality-bending storyline and the creative ways it's presented. So you've got the jist of it, Idiot Rocker.

Some people hate it a fair bit because it's got a massive, ever-present, often over-obsessed fanbase. Seeing it everywhere on tumblr is bound to get on a fair few people's nerves.

I've never seen a decent fic of it, though, OP. Sorry. But then, I don't care for romance and nearly everything seems to be romance. You'll probably enjoy some of the fan adventures on the mspa forums, though. There was one called "Be the sea dweller lowblood" that I haven't been following for a long time that stood out against most of them.

 

There is little wrong with the webcomic itself, the fanfiction though...

The fanfiction is almost entirely High School fics or slash. Sometimes High School slash fics. The sheer number of self inserts boggles the fucking mind, though admittedly the comic lends itself to such a...genre.

I know of one fic that I would recommend out of the 10k fics in the section and I can't remember its name which meant it probably only sucked less shit than its neighbors.

 

I tried looking for something decent on The Sufferer once. It... didn't end well.

There really isn't a fanbase for non-Romance fics. Which is really unfortunate, because the concept of SBURB is cool as shit and I'd totally read some fics about it. Alas, trollmance.
