A lot of these bounce around in my head, but this one's my favorite.

Essentially, it's an X-over with RE. HUNK is hired by someone (probably Dumbles) to protect Harry, because the Order does a piss-poor job of it. I figure that it'd be pretty funny if Harry were being shadowed around Hogwarts by Mr. Death. Possible other idea, he's hired by Voldemort to kill Harry.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

Indeed. It came to me while trying for better scores on Mercenaries. That said, the only part that is X-over is Mr. Death himself. Zombies roaming the halls seems lame, and I can see some fucktard *cough*Malfoy*cough* pulling a 3rd year but ends up gutted by a Tyrant. Interesting, but someone else can write it. While on the subject of writing, Andromalius, might I say that Assassin's Decree is great? Or perhaps should I say was great?

Will be great. ;) I'm still working on rewriting chapters 1-3 to remove the endless repetition of Death Eaters dying. The alternative is better dramatic writing and more vivid, which I wish I had thought of in the first place. Thanks for the compliment.

The game sucked though, which is why you say 'was'.

I didn't recognize Mr. Death at first, but I Wiki'ed him. Is this after the Umbrella corporation falls apart?

With Voldemort hiring Mr. Death, he could intercept Harry as he's coming home by the Dursleys from King's Cross. This way you don't have to get tangled up with getting a Muggle in magical locations and using Hogwarts as a setting with Dumbledore hiring him.

Or you could use a combination of both.

In a spectacular action sequence, Harry survives but the Dursleys do not. Harry uses magic to beat up Mr. Death. However, he is fascinated by the idea of using assassins, and instead of finishing him off, convinces Mr. Death that Dumbledore will hire him.

"Oh yeah," Harry reassured the skeptical assassin. "This guy basically runs the Wizengamot, our legislative body. He'll pay you tons of money to protect me."

Then Mr. Death is contacted by a surviving component of Umbrella and decides to renew his contract. Inevitably Umbrella is curious about the effect of the T-Virus on magic, and he becomes this massive double-agent.

The Wizarding World does not survive its encounter with the virus.

Somewhere along the line, they use the T-Virus to revive Petunia's corpse, to renew the blood protections for Harry's new home on the run. A running gag could be having Harry explain the rotting yet mobile zombie to the local authorities.

To answer your question, no, that's impossible. Umbrella fell in '98, but HUNK is a merc at heart. In it for the money, he is. Andro, do you want to write this thing? I like your writing style, and Ithink you could pick this story up and run with it. By all means, go for it. If you want to, that is. If not, I'll try my best. Also, compliment = fact.

Wow, the war's already a year over by 1998.

This might be interesting too, if the virus appeared in peacetime, inflicts Muggle Britain and Harry initially believes necromancers are on the loose creating Inferi. Eventually he discovers a cell of Umbrella still operating.

I would like to write a crossover but don't think I could, because I never played any of the video games, and my knowledge is limited. No Gamecube lol. I watched the movie because of the hype generated by the fifth game and read massive amounts of spoilers though.

I still haven't figured out what is going on with Wesker.

You're missing out on a great series.

As for Wesker, he lead S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team into the mansion in RE1, getting everybody but Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Barry "You woulda been a Jill sandwich!" Burton. He injected himself with a proto-type of G, causing no noticable changes except his newly reptilean red and gold eyes, thanks to G. This is...different, to say the least, and essentially everything increased after he injected himself. Speed, strength, the whole deal. However, the reason why it's different is that anyone else after Wesker was injected with G changed dramatically. Wesker himself theorizes that G would bring out the most dominant characteristic in a person and show that with their transformation frim G. I suspect this is because of Wesker's oustanding sense of self-preservafion, but how do two completely different people (William Birkin, creator of G, and terrorist guy from Degeneration) have the same transformation if Wesker's theory is correct (it is).
