I am searching for any decent fics in which Harry is the 'Master of the Hallows'.

I remember reading a fic where he was the Master of the Hallows and kills himself to go to the 'Kings Cross Station' again, meets Dumbledore and then jumps back in time. There is a prophecy made about him referring to him as the 'Master of Death and Time' - This title worries the unspeakables very much. I don't remember much more about the fic.

I also read this one-shot in which Harry keeps the Elder Wand, but he never unites the Hallows because he is scared of their power. Hermione was insanely obsessed with the Hallows (She was a researcher in the DOM). She gets some laws passed so that Harry would have to hand over the Hallows to the ministry. She even creates her own Elder Wand and goes all homicidal, kills Ginny, Ron (her Husband) and tries to kill Harry by resurrecting Dumbledore, Merlin and Rowena Reverclaw.

I am interested in fics mainly focused on the Hallows and what are the benefits and the side effects of being the 'Master of Death'. After all death tries to cheat the three brothers, so being the master of death dosen’t necessarily mean being an immortal demigod with power over life and death.

Dunno what the first story you mentioned is, but the second is Perspicacity's Hallows and Pathos. It's really good, if a bit dark, and is in the library.

One of the current stories in For Review, Coming Back Late, is a decent H/Hr tale where Harry is Master of Death. The effects of the Hallows on him are pretty interesting; they seem to deaden his emotions and slowly turn him into Death itself, and he has a confrontation with a personified Death late in the story.

If you're game for a bizarre crack!fic where Harry is Master of Death, I'll humbly recommend my own oneshot - Voldemort, My Pet Inferius.

    That's all I got.

The first sounds like DisobedienceWriter's Time to Fix the Mistakes, but I could be mistaking it with another story. (The train-station after death experience is perhaps the second-most popular way to change dimension/time/wallpaper).

That's the one I mentioned, thanks.

I just read Countdown by Silens Cursor and enjoyed it, though it's confusing and has a lot of plot holes.

    Yeah ... no.

This was written for a Super!Hermione challenge, and the guidelines were pretty clear on how:

The author might have played around a bit with Harry's magical prowess, considering the turn of events that lead to Harry's anointment as the 'Master of Death' in DH, but it all boils down to the fact that Hermione would still wtfpwn Harry with her 'super-powers'. Rather defeats the purpose of having a powerful Harry in the first place, doesn't it?

    I think I'll pass.

@OP: If you haven't already done so, try nuhuh's Catharsis. Harry's magical powers are not exactly centred around the Hallows, but they do play a major role. Regardless, it's a guaranteed awesome read.

    You can also try:

Can't remember reading this, but it must be sitting in my favourites for a reason. :awesome

Wow. That narrows it down quite a bit. In that case, I think you should go with darklordmike's recs.

Yes, The Meaning of Father is super!Hermione. That doesn't take over the story.

No, Harry isn't blessed with super powers--you know, other than the Deathly Hallows. He's also a lot smarter than in canon. Other advantages include him becoming something akin to the next Dumbledore (politically--and a strategy Dumbledore worked out that Harry is putting into use regarding the Ministry is brilliant), as well as studying from Dumbledore's and Snape's journals.

Lastly, this is not a tale in which it 'all boils down to the fact that Hermione would still wtfpwn Harry with her super powers.' I'd say give it a shot rather than running after that AN, but whatever.

The Hallows definitely don't play a mojor role in Catharsis as far as I can remember. The powers of the Hallows was used only once in the story during the duel between Harry and Dumbledore. I could be wrong though as I don't remember it clearly.

As the author, I would say that Countdown has less plot-holes and more hazy plot implications. I left a lot of things ambiguous (partially because of a word limit and partially because I love screwing with people's heads). Not gonna say it's perfect, considering it was more of a pseudo-philosophical commentary than anything, but I'm glad you liked it.

And I've never seen Raistlin!Harry - with the right author, that genuinely could be awesome.
