I've been trying to find some well written stories where Harry supports pureblood traditions and customs; without necessarily being a bigot. Unfortunately all I can dig up are those shitty "Evil Slytherin Harry" fics where he is the epitome of Wizarding culture and takes over Britain before his third year.

I'm not too picky about recommendations; just that they are readable, grammar-wise, and that there's a semblance of a plot that doesn't require too much suspension of disbelief. Guilty pleasures are fine too. Though even with these broad restrictions I can't imagine the list being too long.

    Thanks in advance.

Couldn't get into the Sacrifices series, mostly because the author states there would be HPDM slash in the future. Completely killed it for me.

A Necessary Gift was definitely guilty pleasure material but a good time-sink.

Thanks for the rec's. Keep 'em coming if you have more.

I've stopped following it, so I don't know what the status is, but IIRC Dethryl's Slytherin!Harry Canon-rewrite They Shook Hands features a Harry that is suitably influenced by Draco.

Other than that, I could probably find you a handful of shitty Harry-becomes-Lord-Black-Potter-Gryffindor-Slytherin-Merlin-Whatever stories, each a carbon copy of the other, where of course he suddenly is all about pureblood customs ... or at least what those authors think that is (usually, it amounts to smirking and wearing his hair in a ponytail). Interested? :p

Into the Night is good. It's in the library.

This. One of my favorite stories in that it creates a very interesting pureblood culture. The downside is that you can literally pinpoint the change from canon!Harry to pureblood!Harry down to a single line in the story. The shift is that sudden.

Eh, I've sleuthed through so many of them they've all blurred together into one giant story. Funny enough that giant-blur-of-a-story is much more interesting than its components. In my head, at least.

The rest of the rec's are keeping me busy. It was the re-reading of On The Way To Greatness that got me curious about Pureblood!Harry. Many fics have pureblood traditions in the background, especially in the indie/political genres, but I couldn't recall any that have it as a main focus without turning into those shitty ones Sesc mentions. The closest I came was Taure's 'Lords of Magic' but that was mostly my imagination filling in future chapters. :p

Out of the Night is pretty interesting. Not sure why I haven't read it before now.

I dunno whether it fits what you want exactly, but Mizuni-sama's Prince of the Dark Kingdom has a Harry interested in Ancient Magicks, and lots of pureblood tradition and stuff. I enjoy it, it seems to have had (initially at least, I didn't read the whole thread) a decent response here, and it is bloody massive, at over one million words, one hundred chapters, and only up to book 6.
