Hermione in particular is loyal to an almost absurd degree to Harry, willing to give up her own love and well being to be there for him. That's just... damn.

Also, Hermione kind of spent all of HBP mad Harry was better at Potions than her via Snape's book, spent months researching the Prince name just to prove the book was somehow a bad thing, and told Harry the book was written by Snape right after Snape killed Dumbledore!

If Hermione could get over herself for five seconds, she might actually be able to try and make a go of it with Harry. The problem is, she's a hypocrite who likes being in charge, and Harry... is Harry Potter. Nobody likes a hypocrite, and Harry has more spine than the catacombs of Paris. In that respect, neither suits the other's personality.

Before long, he'd either get tired of her attempts to run his life, or she'd get tired of his refusal to be handled. Then again, maybe she mellowed out during her year on the run. She probably only gets an initial chance, though, if he's forgotten how she acted during 6th year.

Of course, this analysis ignores Cursed Child, where the characters display all the good sense and mental fortitude of an overstuffed sack of half-concussed hill mynas, and Harry is afraid of pigeons because lolsorandomweempty-headeddouchebagslicktheassofpostmodernismsonothinghasmeaning.

 

Hermione stuck a woman in a jar for months and blackmailed her because she was talking shit in a gossip rag, she’s probably the type to try and transfigure Harry into a bull and castrate him because he glanced at Fleur’s cleavage once.

Usually I'd be keen to continue the circle jerk but I just don't understand why people think that Skeeter was kept in a jar all that time.

 

Old: Ron bashing.

Bold: Hermione bashing.

Gold: Hermione never gets rescued from the troll; parents remove her from Hogwarts for safety reasons, never to be heard from again. It turns out Ron and Harry are actually pretty resourceful and managed to muddle through the Voldemort problem anyway. In the epilogue, Ron says "Mate, remember that girl from first year? What an utter nightmare she was haha"

 

Definitely a Ron/Daphne/Tracey scenario.
