Getting a CPU

    I'm planning on putting a Corsair H105 all in one cooler on it straight away as I've never liked air coolers or passive coolers as they take up too much space, put too much stress on the motherboard and cause RAM clearance problems.

    Maybe in a couple of months when I can afford a second (and possibly third) GPU I will make my own water cooling loop but for now there is now point.

    Ahh ok I misread that. I didn't see the bit about rendering. I agree that X99 is the best option.

    Also FYI, Intel's tock is a new microarchitecture, tick is for a process shrink.
