This will be a mafia game where the number of roles will be determined by the number of players who sign up. I can make it big or small, it makes no difference to me. I haven't decided on a flavor yet, but there will be flavor in the flips.

I won't be using any fancy type roles. All the roles will be pretty simple and straight forward, and there will be no recruitment mechanics in this game.

I would like an odd number of players, so 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 would be good.

I'm thinking phases of 48h days 24h nights with no night chat for town.

I would like your opinion whether it should be just a straight up lynch of whoever has the most votes at the end of 48h, or if you would like a hammer option from day 2 onwards where a lynch is achieved once a player has more than 50% of the alive votes.

Any questions or suggestions and I'm all ears! <3

48/24 sounds good. I always like for there to /be/ a hammer option, even if we never end up really using it. Should probably be more than 50% of the votes though. We usually use 50% for soft and 75% for hard lynch here. Plurality is fine and I think we all know how it works and all, but I kinda like that DLP games are just that bit different from MU games in that we always have the soft/hard lynch system.

You should take a look at past DLP games to have an idea of the mechanics and roles and such that people here are used to.

    /in for extremely low effort.

DLP traditionally uses hard lynch/soft lynch. Soft lynch=1/2 rounded up of the living votes, sufficient to lynch at deadline. Hard = 3/4 of the living votes, sufficient to hammer.

    It's your game, though :p

Also would prefer longer deadlines, but that's just me.

I understand you have a tradition for soft lynches and hard lynches. While I don't want a restriction where unless somebody has 50% of the votes nobody gets lynched I can go along with a hammer lynch at 75%. (Though I wonder if that isn't kind of town sided)

I'm absolutely willing to go to 72/24 if that makes more people want to join in.

In terms of roles I'm thinking that these are the possible roles in the game:

    Cop
    Doc
    Mason
    Roleblocker
    Innocent Child
    Neighbor
    Vanilla town
    Goon
    Vigilante
    Serial Killer
    Jailkeeper
    Tracker
    Watcher

The setup will be closed, but will contain some of the above roles. If any of those are unfamiliar or known under a different name here, please let me know.

    Fair enough re: voting.

I hope this doesn't come off as like, super picky or anything, but if Cop/Godfather is a potential role combo, especially at low numbers, I'm out. Godfather has got to be the worst role of all time. It either does nothing, or wins the game, and in a small game especially it's all kinds of feelsbad.

I'm also incredibly averse to the idea of third parties, though I suppose I could give it the old college try.

Otherwise, looks good. Could maybe throw in something like Jailkeeper / Tracker / Watcher; those are basic enough to fit the theme IMO.

I don't mind taking godfather off the list and adding the three you suggested.

Yeah please no third party ever.

I'll play if fluff and Zenzao play and deadlines are 72. (And there are no third parties.)

    Gemma,

Question: Would you like the game to be capped at 9 players or are you ok with extending to 11 or 13? (If we get enough players that is)
