Mountainous Mafia #1 - Signup Thread

    Hi.

    This will be a 13 player game.

    It will be 11 vs. 2, with alignments flipping upon death.

    It will have the standard Hard/Soft lynch system.

    D1 and D2 will be 72 hours, and D3 and beyond will be 48 hours.

    Nights will be 24 hours, but there's very high odds I'll expedite night phases if scum teams wish.

    Scum will have day chat at all times. Until one of them is dead, upon when they can talk to themselves as they spiral into insanity.

    People that stated a preference for this game will get a weighted chance to participate. I'm looking for 14-15 signups with 2 that don't make it being replacements, as replacements always will be needed.

    There will be an unspoiled observer chat, much as in Stardew.

    Is 11/2 more common than 10/3? I'm used to 11-13ish being threshold for adding third scum.

    11-2 is pretty common for a mountainous game. IIRC the expected win rate for town is about 40% - mostly balanced, leaning toward scum-sided.

    9/3 or 10/3 is the case when town has some power roles, but for purely vanilla, it gets fairly scum sided with that ratio. Even 11/2 is slightly scum sided in a normal meta, but DLP tends to be town favored due to insular community so I'd probably put the odds at 50/50 pre-alignment randomization.

    Going to leave this open for a bit, and if enough signups happen I'll make it a 14 vs 3 mountainous game, which is my preference for no power/purity of mafia, but game should fire tomorrow night regardless.

    That puts us back down to 14.

    I think I'll just fire it as a 13'er instead of trying to recruit to 17 and then struggling to find replacements.

    Unfortunately that does mean someone is going to get randomized out to the replacement list, sorry!
