It's actually because some people haven't accepted love and tolerance into their hearts.
Pinkie Pie is awesome.
Greatest. Thought. Ever.
Hah, good update. Had some action, some humor, some world-explaining/building, and progress in the plot (if only that they arrived at their destination). I liked the scene with Fluttershy and Dresden.
I lol'd so hard.
As for the grammar, I didn't really notice anything wrong with it, but then I don't usually care about it all that much as long as the writing flows well. And it does.
New chapter. Go go go. I think Denarian!Trixie is right.
Damn it, I hoped that Harry would be the only non-MLP element here. He still can be, though.
Still, a good chapter, even if I had trouble believing in Dresden folding that fast.
Yeah, that was the one thing that bugged me about the chapter. Harry Dresden doesn't fold easily; he either goes smartass, or gets angry.
I don't like fight scenes much, but it was still a good chapter. There go my hopes for Harry being the only out-of-MLP element in the fic, though.
The bit about Twilight's shield stopping fire was a nice little call forward to what happened to Harry's hand in book 6.
The action was pretty good, though it did occasionally fall into the old problem of having one or two ponies do something while everyone else watched, especially in scenes like where Rainbow Dash and Applejack were trying to destroy the torches.
To be fair, there was a valid reason for those two doing all that shit while the others watched. It made sense even, in terms of their characters, for Applejack and Rainbow Dash to be acting as scouts.
New update was pretty awesome, we finally get our fight with Trixie and a couple of inventive bits of magic are used.
On the other hand, I didn't like how he had Harry try to kill Trixie after the fight, since that doesn't seem particularly like Harry at any point in the books. He kills out of necessity, and I don't think the reason given was good enough to get past Harry's conscience. Then again, he Saw Trixie as she was with Nightmare Moon attached, so perhaps he understood better than the ponies.
Awesome update, indeed.
Maybe he was already under influence when he tried to off her. Besides, even if he wasn't, this kind of situation was pretty unique, even for him
Not really; he knows from Sanya that those possessed by evil can be redeemed, but I like your thinking that the Nightmare jumped into him at the last second.
Yeah, I'd have to agree that Harry getting so murderous with Trixie could be attributed to the Nightmare's influence. Could make for some interestingness if Nightmare trying to influence him wakes Lash up a little sooner than normal.
Also, it's a minor issue, but some of Harry's spellcasting in this chapter feels a bit out of line with what he can actually do, especially if this fic is supposed to be between books five and six.
His gravity manipulation spell doesn't even show up until a good five books later, and it's always been the sort of spell that needs way too much setup time for him to use it the way he does here. A tight, concentrated beam of fire should also be outside of his capabilities at that point in canon; in Dead Beat he's amazed when he sees Luccio using fire like that.
Decent crossover but Dresden and even some of the ponies feel a bit "off" at times but generally they are written well. Am loving the humor and Dresden's reactions to the pony-world and they way he shoehorns as many puns and references as he does into his dialog.
4/5 so far
A good update.
So I was right about the Nightmare jumping to Dresden.
Yeah, pretty good fight scene. Gotta love the cupcake launcher.
Aye, Dresden was pretty damn awesome in there, and Pinkie doing her thing was brilliant.
New, and last chapter.
Pretty satisfying ending.
I thought there was a cool explanation of how Equestria stays seperate from the Nevernever.
