    I would love to live in a world where those are things that have been done well, if only because the creative talent and skill it would take to pull it off would be glorious, nay, legendary to behold.

    *shrug* Use the Star Wars Universe, and replace the force with an innate ability to train Pokemon.

    Jedi are Trainers. Sith are evil trainers. Other force sensitives do exist and are also trainers. Non-force sensitives can sometimes train pokemon, but they will always lack a certain ability to communicate with their pokemon that comes naturally to the others.

    It'd be hard to do, and it's far more than I could manage, but that's what came to mind for me.

    Dresden/ Pokemon is doable.

    Fae is obviously influenced (not just inspired by) human folklore.

    When, when does a story become folklore? When does pikachu go from a highly profitable commercial product to part of the subconcious culture stream?

    When does Pikachu become part of the never-never?

    Harry Dresden gonna find out.

    Seratin, apropos to nothing, I was thinking the other day about how neat it would be if Red stumbled across a hidden village, guarded by a bulbasaur who was beginning to feel the stirrings of wanderlust...

    Seratin could do a one-shot 4 u. But Republic is a very sneaky Greek and has made me put other things on the front burner without me even noticing. So after that.
