It goes to last post instead.

Is there any way to change the default so if I see a thread from the homepage, and I click on it, it goes to last unread?

On a very similar note, I can't figure out a way to view last unread from the New Posts page.

Assuming you've seen everything but the new stuff, clicking the title itself should do it.

Edit: Wait, what do you mean by "last unread"? If you want the very last post then click the time under Last Message. If, however, you meant first unread, then my previous statement applies.

    I meant first unread.

If I click on the TOMD thread, it takes me to the first post in that thread. I can then click on "View First Unread" to go to the correct post, but just clicking on the title isn't doing it for me.

Edit: wait, sorry I mean the "New Posts" tab. What's New is working correctly.

I can't see why that would be. Despite the URLs being slightly different, threads versus posts, they both lead to the same search page. Both are working correct for me.

Are you sure you're not hitting Recent Posts and the TOMD URL is greyed out?

Read state wasn't imported from vB. However if you'd already read the thread post-migration then clicking the thread should take you to a link suffixed by "unread". I don't know that there's a way to use it from the forums list but perhaps we can add an arrow.

In principle, I'd be in favour of an arrow linking to /unread instead of the avatars to the left of the thread (in every view?). I feel like they don't add much purpose -- plus, as the default is blank, there now are threads with a white square.

Ah cool beans. Yeah it works as expected. Just that the old read state wasn't imported which isn't a big deal. I just have to visit the old threads once.

Feel free to mark as resolved.

When there are unread posts in a thread, the thread link is a link to /unread, rendering an arrow unnecessary.

You can also hit "Mark Forums Read" in the header to do it all at once.
