I know I can't be the only one who's been watching these. Well it's finally reached the episode where Goku meets Freeza, or that Freezer guy if you prefer.

Personally I think this Freeza makes a way better villain then the one in the actual sires.

 

I've watched all the episodes, minus episode 27. 26 is just a great episode.

Watching episode 21 right now, this totally made my day :awesome

 

I always thought that DBZ would be a lot more compelling if you cut out 90% of the content, which was little more than grunting.

I'll have to take a loot at this.

Been watching this since it first came out and it's fucken amazing.

If you enjoy it also watch this. Its made by the same people only it's a hellsing abridged. Pretty funny shit as well.

 

Alucard..... I have a friend with the same sense of humor: no one ever find him funny.

That was awful, besides maybe 5 jokes. They need work turning a serious show into a comedy with making it seem utterly ridiculous.

DBZ abridges is much better, because they left the true retarded humor to dumb characters like Krillan, Nappa... and Goku.

 

Anybody watch YuGiOh Abridged? It starts off a bit slow, but it gets better as you get farther in.

 

I loved the Hellsing Abridged, but then I have a strange sense of humor, so I guess that works out well for me.

 

Vegeta's voice is just like in the Funimation dub. How'd they manage that?

 

I'm pretty sure they have people who can imitate his voice.

The Hellsing Abridged was all right, but this one is better.

 

The only abridged series I follow anymore is Pokemon: The 'Bridged Series. It's funny as all fuck.

There's also Abridgimon, although there's only one episode, it's probably the best I've ever seen.

 

I watched the YGO one a lot, and while it was generally a bit ott it was funny from time to time. And the creator never stopped poking fun at the general dumbness of the storyline.

That said, the DBZ Abridged series seems much better, from the humor to the voice-acting and so on. I just saw episode 27 and I've never laughed that hard in my life. Freeza is a fucking boss, a badass,wisecracking boss.

 

The three Abridged Series that I follow are the Dragonball Abridged Series by TeamFourstar, Yugioh Abridged and Naruto Spoof Series, both by LittleKuriboh.

All three are awesome and just hilarious.

DBZ Abridged is probably the best of the bunch and honestly, a lot better than the original DBZ, but I laughed way more at the Naruto Spoof series which is pokes fun at both, Naruto itself and the people who complain all the time about it. The first two episodes can be a bit slow for some but it really takes off at episode three.

And DBZA has the fact that it doesn't go completely overboard and maintain some sort of connection with the canon characters on it's side.

 

The only thing I didn't like about DBZ was that the characters didn't have too many Ki techniques. Other than that, I loved DBZ. I remember reading that DBZ wasn't going to go passed the Frieza Saga, but the fans demanded more, and he made more.

 

Actually I think it was the production company that forced it. The guy himself wanted to end it at Freeza.

 

lol Exactly. Akira (the guy who did the comic), wanted to stop at Frieza, but the fans liked it so much, they practically begged him to continue. I thought it was good up to the Cell saga. I didn't really care for the "Gohan goes to high school" horseshit, nor the "Saiya-Man" crap.
