Harry grows up with Sirius and Remus in France and the support of Dumbledore and McG as Sirius "son". Nobody besides them knows his real name. The story starts the summer before GoF and what happened before has no major changes to the general canon plot line with a few adaptions.

The theme is a quirky unrealistic "Gary Stu" romance with a few tropes most people might scoff at usually. But it's really witty and funny which I consider highly unusual for such a theme. It has a playful charm you may actually enjoy far more than you would think possible at first. At least I do and I have no regrets at all.

The title implies some tragedy which has not happened yet or might not.

First paragraph is spent explaining how Harry at 14 spends his time at nightclubs drinking and fucks 'naked goddesses'. No more than four lines later calls Voldemort a 'funny name'.

Just reading half a page of this guy makes me want to slap the shit out of him. Yeah no.

I know. Therefore I said what I said about some tropes and to give it a chance despite that.

    "Granpa Albus"? "Aunt Minerva"

Nah seriously, the writing is just plain cringe worthy.

Also, how does anybody know that Voldemort had "200 followers"? That hits my suspension of disbelief slightly, like how exactly would they monitor such a thing with an organization like the Death Eaters. You'd think that thing would be pretty secret.

Cronic overuse of exclamation marks as well.

    1.5/5 from what I've read.

Well, I am fairly new to DLP, thus my opinion may very well be off, but besides from the fact that the Sirius in this story seems to be an embodiment of the 2 main stereotypes regarding Sirius Black in fanfiction (you know, excessive alcohol consumption and womenizing; not to mention his terrible parenting skills), it was just so nice to read how Harry referred to werewolves as "creatures". Very understandable since he has had no contact with any werewolf - except he was raised by one.
However, I just read a few lines, so no idea how it develops, but the third time Harry called himself awesome just made me want to kick him in the face.

This story is also marked as "Humour". It's not to be taken serious, obviously.

The reason I suggested this here is that the story is more than its lame tropes you focus on. The dialogues and situations have a certain word wit I enjoyed which puts this above yet another bland bad trope experience. He creates an unique "charming" Harry closer to the cliche of a rogue James Potter/Sirius.

This is an idiot’s attempt to replicate The Lie I’ve Lived.
    • Harry is 14
    • He swears
    • He smashes
    • He drinks
    • He calls Voldemort “funny names”
    • The style and flow is a poor, but recognizable imitation.
    1/5

Here, go read something that’s actually funny.

Well, okay, I gave it a chance, but I sincerely couldn't get to the end of the first chapter.

There are many points the other people here already against, so, as you're saying it's a humor story @Snapdragon, I'll focus on that.

Yeah, the point here is not how an insane psychopath murdered Harry's parents, it's how funny his name is, and how awesome Harry is.

I could continue, but I'll stop there. The humor simply isn't working, period. I know what the author is gunning for, a somewhat arrogant Harry with a penchant for showmanship, but it comes too forced. Like he's screaming LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF YE LITTLE SHIT SEE HOW I RAD I AM in the face of the reader, and reading an entire story about him in first-person doesn't seem exciting.

There's a difference about being humorous and a crack fic, and this story isn't working as either. It would be a 1/5 for me because at least the grammar isn't all that bad.

I haven't read the story, but this just rubs me the wrong way. A humor story can absolutely be taken seriously, especially if it has aspects to it beyond humor which is the case here based on just the description.

If it didn't, it'd be called a parody.

It's close to a parody. It's not easy to put this in a clear category.

Oof. The fic screams teenage author. He claims to be twenty-something, so maybe this is his attempt at teenage humor. Like Rep, I made it half a page in before deciding it was drivel I wasn't really into. Finishing the page made me click the red X.

Somehow, his writing style reminds of me Trump transcripts. The short sentences, maybe.
