Actually! I checked earlier. You had a picture of the 2 houses on top of the hill that we built first. You can even see the secret entrance to the underground secret hideout! But this doesn't have the greenhouse or any of the other buildings we ended up building later on.

Oh man. Those are damn fine-looking houses. I spent so long hmming at every possible angle - you can see the dirt staircases to nowhere used as viewing platforms still. Totally worth it. Who was it that made that excellent huge fuck-off wizards' tower on the server?

These posts may or may not have led to me playing Minecraft Nintendo Switch style, i.e. handheld mode in a bubblebath while drinking grapefruit beer.

I can't wait for the post about how you lose your switch. Because you will lose it. Not in the bathtub, though, that'd be too mundane for you. ;)

Have you guys seen this map? It's called Phain: Game board of the ancients. The map maker wrote his own program to generate the terrain off hours and hours of hard work making individual pieces - and it's glorious.

    Here's some of my screenshots:

Highly recommend a download - I spent a few hours just wandering, feeling at peace.

Thou hath summoned the wizard of the Purple Tower! Behold, mortals, and despair!

...shame I don't have a picture of the tower with lightning behind it.

That server was fun as fuck. Never got to finish my second tower or the personal Angband/Pit of Absolute Darkness that I was working on. Was going to cover the rest of the hill with huge pine trees as well...

    So much nostalgia.

    Hey guys. Minecraft time again.

Any server pack requests? I'm out of the loop on whats the new hotness. Gonna pay for a server for 2 months. Thats usually how long we last.

Most mentioned mod packs I've seen lately are Enigmatica 2 (Expert usually, but also mentions of non expert), Skyfactory 4, and shockingly apparently there's a lot of interest in vanilla 1.14.

@Jon I brought it up because when people say Minecraft, I assume they usually mean the Java version. Bedrock is the cross-platform Microsoft version. That's what I play now because it's optimized to run on low-end machines. I'm guessing you'll probably do Java. I was just curiously hopeful, I'd love to play with DLP folks.

It doesn't look like Bedrock edition has mods.

@Jon nope, the mod scene is thus far exclusive to Java

Oh hell yes. Count me all the way in. I've been wanting to play recently too.

I know exactly what we should play: something we've always meant to play together. TerraFirmaCraft. I've played it solo and it's awesome - peaceful and difficult and engaging in all the best ways. It would be great for a server. And we've always wanted to play together.

There's also a mod pack called TerraFirmaPunk, which from what I've seen is more chaotic with horrifying mobs roaming around at all times but supposedly adds lot of technical progression and gives you a quest book. I suggest sticking with TFC and it's add-one instead.

As for the how: a lot of the old launchers have gone to shit, but I found a great one not so long ago. The ATLauncher: it has mod packs you can grab without faffing around, and setting up the server is easy as hell. Whatever we end up playing they'll probably have a pack for.

I'm thinking all the optional mods included except HardcoreDarkness - see how we get on.

mfw just bought a server and it has everything except terrafirma. I saw that it had ATLauncher packs but it looks like because terrafirma is a custom addon it isnt included.

Whoops. Do you have access to the server files? You can probably swap them out
