I think jbern already mentioned something about Bungle becoming a priority, if only for chapter 21. But I wouldn't want to rush him (alright i do, i do), the next chapter comes when it comes. We don't want to make the story suffer for our sense of satisfaction.

    So none of this::whipped:

    *edit* Whoo hoo i'm a squib!? . . . Never mind.

When I saw you had Bill alive when Kwan Said "Ask him yourself" I was sure you just had a major copout. But seeing all the hints you've left before even if I didnt get them it makes it better.

Honestly I think the story is better off with Bill in it for now atleast...

One little point thought... Kwan said Thundercoloud took the Killing curse for him by jumoing in the way of it... If there was tim for thundercloud to take the curse there was time for the trained nimble hitwizard to dodge it.

I'm not sure if I like the demon. It adds a very nice element to the story and you seem to be using it well but it raises a problem that I have noticed in all your storoes. Why the hell arent they used more often?

You said Grindewald had one, a "Minor" one you said that still took 3 powerful people to bring down.

Hell even if they are super hard to summon and such I can imagin Voldemort using one to announce his arrival. Rather than in HBP when he collapsed a bridge and used giants to flatten a few houses he could summon a demon to destroy Hogsmead... He has time and patience and followers to help him.

It's a problem all ideas face. The "Why the hell havent we seen this before" question. It's one that I ask a lot and can ruin a story for me.

The fight scene how ever was very good. I can find no big fault in it or something to nitpick so good work for that.

Against any half trained wizard or anything with any use of magic Hack seems screwed...

He;s fine against animated corps' but against a demon... he's the next one to die isn'e he? He can only do meele damage and if he gets close enoght to do it the demon is going to waste him.

I'm pretty sure Voldemort had used one of Chilotha's Horcruxes to summon the demon. They don't exactly grow on trees, you know.

Yes but he could get one of his minions to make a horcrux then use that. I'm sure Bella would do it if asked or "persuade" one of the others to do it.

Also Grindewakd had a demon so unless he used a horcrus to (highly unlikely) there is more than one way to summon them. Ritual sacrifice maybe.

Whether or not summoning a daemon requires ritual sacrifice or a horcrux, what I think you're all overlooking is the problem of control. I think the daemon is powerful but uncontrollable. That's maybe why Grindelwald just released it on a rampage instead of using it on select missions of importance. That's also probably why those Binding Circles were so important to put there. After all, if Voldemort could control him, he'd simply order him to guard the treasure instead of binding him to it.

The question you have to ask yourself is would Voldemort reveal the secret of his immortality even to his followers? Secrets have a way of coming out.

I'm guessing he discovered that Regulus found out and that's why he was killed...

    Jim

There are other factors, perhaps the summoning weakens the conjurer and Voldy isn't that ready to be 'weak', perhaps he can only have one Daemon at his call at a time and he's using it to ensure that his most secure Horcrux is protected for all time.

During the graveyard scene in GOF, he berated them for not looking for him because,
So the answer is, yes they knew, or at least some of them did.

Well spotted! I still can't picture LV telling LM "okay this book has a piece of my soul in it. When the time is right give it to a kid so that I may rise again."

All in all seems a bit stupid. Why not, "Choose one of the children of my faithful and they shall become my vessel or rebirth."

I'm guessing there has to be limits on Horcrux production. Otherwise wouldn't LV make all of his followers immortal?

Not sure about that. He's supposedly power-hungry and such. If I wanted absolute power I certainly wouldn't give people with ambition the power to not be killed, ya know?

Horcrux production? Eh, it's just another one of those things we should have more information on, but don't. Probably won't get it even in the next book just cause J.K. won't write it.

(Ya know, I'd have some hesitation putting something like "Kill someone else violently and chant this" in a book, simply cause I know some idiotic children would actually get it in their heads to go out and do that.)

considering the way dumbles describes them they are mutilating their soul on purpose.
While most DE are without a doubt evil and fanatic, they are fanatics with a cause. I do not think they are willing to give up a part of their humanity for a twisted kind of immortality, frankly that is a trade-off i can't really imagine anyone except the clinically insane doing.
Lucius has many faults, but remember that most of all he craves political power over others, not the magical power LV wanted.

Aside from that, i don't think Voldie actually explained what he had done to anyone. Telling them he has split his soul to gain immortality isn't nearly as glorious as saying he has transformed himself to something above human with rituals.

Good point about telling the Death Eater's he's "something above human with rituals" rather than that he "split his soul to gain immortality".

The easy way out is for J.K. to announce that creating a Horcrux either A. Absorbs so much of your power you have to be uber!Death Eater or B. You lose NOT ONLY a part of your soul, but a part of your magic...

With B. most Death Eaters aren't going to go through the ___ number of rituals that Voldemort went through just to lose the shit.

Also, if anything HBP made it certain that information on Horcruxes is not easy to find. If some of the most powerful wizards alive don't know about them/understand them, it's not a stretch to think that Voldemort isn't passing the knowledge on. It's a hazard to him if he lets anyone know about them, because then they realize that HE has them...

Then Snape runs off and tells his little friends and BOOM no more Horcruxes.

Meh. This is fan fiction. The rules work however the author says they work. It's not like JKR is perfect. According to Dobby, things can be removed from the ROR. (Filch and his cleaning supplies) Most fanfic authors have overruled JKR on this point because it otherwise opens a huge can of worms. She should have payed more attention to Star Trek when she ripped them off to make a magical holodeck. The rules in Trek were better thought out.

Though on the other hand, the ROR was better thought out in that she didn't abuse it by making it go evil and try and kill Harry and CO every other episo... er ... chapter.

I love this story. All I can really say about it. Good, not over the top OCs, and a nice writting style. 2nd person POV was new to me, and I loved the plot.

    5/5

EDIT: 1st, 2nd, it all runs together for me. Thanks for the catch though.

I don't think someone as power hungry as Voldemort would ever tell any of their followers how to become immortal. I'd say immortality is the absolute top most show of power - after all, how much closer can someone get to being a "godly being"?

I'm definitely eager to read the next chapter, so I hope that you'll have more for us soon! :D

Well your spliting your soul into peices so depending on what the soul does for a magical being you either need it or don't. So since he split 8 times and is still kicking i assume the soul is purley for emotions.
