You do that IRL too? Make a joke a second time when no one laughs at it the first time?

Will keep my eye on Keledo’s Sloth progression tho.

“townreadthis guy, we're going to have to kill him tonight"

    Not possible?

Unless Sloth was scumreading you, and if he was I missed it.
    --- Post automerged ---
Also in that case there’s no real need for
scum!Cobalt to vocalize it, and have it be 50% of his content. That’s silly.

I know when you asked for help you probably didn’t mean me, but I’m here and have a second, so. :v

I’m not pushing anyone to do anything at all. Sorry. Still suspicious but need to play catch up. Last I left off I’d say he’s prob not sloths partner but like I said...need time to catch up. Lemme get to work take a pain killer and settle in for reading

    @Mendel

There are only like three points in the day I can post and most of that time there's sort of a rush around it. I deffo should have mentioned Tammy, but my usual process is to catch up quickly and with that swirl, try to form a new thought. Last night I was phone-posting so I didn't even really have the ability to go back and research for specific posts to back me up.

Also probably SHOULD acknowledge the scum accusations against me, though I don't... know how I can reasonably respond. I know I should try better to clear myself of being scum because it'll help us all find the ACTUAL wolves but it feels............ difficult? A lot of my early posts were just me kinda knocking against fences to see what the boundaries even were and now it's getting twisted (newb? newb being coached to look newbish?)

I do fully recognize that my Sloth blindspot is a major blemish that I'll probably never shake until Sloth's actual partner gets got. I probably should be more onboard with Keldeo's goal for that reason but his "we need to do this" still feels weird to me so I'm side-eyeing a little.

Main reason I think I'm voting Jarizok over Vaimes/Cobalt is that Cobalt was completely absent and only dropped in for a couple of small posts that felt suspicious as someone who should have been active. Vaimes has had some time to post but not enough for me to get a proper read on them.

I think I have a decent amount of content to judge. Or at least have an opinion on.

No this was TerRaine asking if Fluff saw any patterns that I wasn't seeing. Fluff saw/sees me as scum. Since I'm not I wanted another POV to see if there was something I wasn't seeing so as to follow other leads and reads

Honestly wanna wait and see the results of Day 2/Night 2 and the imminent shake-out before making a proper analysis of ya, Vaimes. Given the Day1, I'm not exactly confident in a clear read, though I might have a better feeling about it by end of day.

I'll be sure to jot down final analyses as EoD approaches in case I get got, though I doubt I'm a very appealing target all things considered.

There’s always the chance I will get lunched for being a previously lurky slot, so you might not have that kind of time.
    --- Post automerged ---
I’d be more likely to believe that if it didn’t look so...self-interested.
    --- Post automerged ---
On its own, wanting the POV of a player whose POV has a flawed foundation (that you are scum when you’re not) isn’t sound.

If you disagreed on reads on other players, sure, but the motivation doesn’t match up with what you’re saying imo.
    --- Post automerged ---
    Just checked.

fluff never responds to your quip and you never follow up on it. Or maybe you do muuuuch later, I’ll never know because mobile ISO’ing is trash.

...Yea I don't get Sloth's logic here since #109 asked for a clarification on Empoof'd read and I don't see how it was defense even very light defense.

This tying Jarizok to me makes me hesitate on thinking Jari could be his partner. Seems too risky especially with how much he was tunneling me at that point when I don't believe I had too strong a wagon going.

If I flip Town...Sloth's laser focus on me paints him in a scummy light. If I flipped scum he's painted a huge target on the stronger role of his scum team. Whoever is Sloth's partner is the watcher for their team...I don't think it would be someone he'd paint an arrow to if he ended up being right and he got his lynch and assumed scum flip on me

I was pushing for people to question him given the anti town actions...Since he was here and active at the point in time it felt more pressing to me to strike while the iron was hot so to speak instead of giving time for him to walk away and formulate an excuse/answer.

All that being said even though I don't find him particularly towny yet I also don't think he's a sloth's partner. That's the more important role to sniff out.

Kel is another person I read as having scummy behavior but his soft hammer on sloth gives me pause. We were less than 5 minutes off of EOD and he could've easily just stuck to defending his wagon or stayed silent. The people who were active at that time were mostly on the sloth wagon. Why guarantee the soft lynch when there's a chance he could've kept his team at 2 lives?

If I recall fluff was the higher wagon at the time...it was the only chance he really had and seemed like a hail mary pass. It put fluff at 5 I think...correct me if I'm wrong. All he needed was one more and I don't think Sloth would've risked the stronger scum roll just to save himself. Goes against his teams wincon

Cerber on the other hand just seems all over the place. Sloth laid the seeds early on for people to town read him by accusing me of buddying. His play with Cerber is the opposite of what he was doing with Jarizok. If I flip town that "buddying" of Cerber just looks like one towny talk about another and if I flip scummed he can sit there going "See? I was right and she was setting y'all up to doubt him when she flipped."

He's also just...all over the place with his read on Jarizok with little to no reasoning for it.

Jarizok starts off as his highest scum read for not responding to people scum reading him.

still happy voting him....waiting to see how he responds

suddenly Jarizok is town despite Cerber still voting on him

Here he makes no mention of Jarizok being on his radar so...still town for him I guess?

Oh? nope now he's null along with Kel...for reasons? 519

    still targeting Fluff and cobalt.

He's back to mentioning Jarizok but no indication why he slipped from scum to town to null to ?

    Ah back to scum.

Yea just not digging the leaf in the wind aspect to his voting. It's less about finding out scum and more about what wagon seems to make me look good at this point in time

    VOTE CERBERASTA

    --- Post automerged ---
    Erroneous

I can't seem to quote it but after this point fluff wasn't around for awhile and when I saw him post I sked again in 154# and was ignored. I'm not going to keep yelling a question into the wind. fluff seemed hell bent on ignoring me so I moved on to other questions

I'll stop doing it if you stop scumreading players for voting you.

    That's perfectly fine.
They probably wouldn't have known he'd stop producing content after that.
I don't know, maybe it's just a sort of reverse chainsaw: townread the guy who attacks your buddy to save yourself. I don't think I would have necessarily seen if Sloth scumread me.

Yeah, that was a but tinfoily, and I know this theorizing can be a bit aggravating. But I am happy that you did follow my advice to make your thoughts seen; the more you do that, the harder it becomes to "twist" them into something that wasn't there. You can see that with Cobalt, he posted so little that any motivation fits, and only Vaimes knows the truth. The players who you're townreading all post a lot, so our thougts and motivations are very apparent.

@CerberAsta can you talk about Jarizok some more?

Vaimes made the point 10 minutes ago while I was editing: why ask someone their opinion who you know is wrong?

Being wrong on one thing doesn't automatically make you wrong on everything. It's possible to make a bad reading on one player and see patterns that are correct on others.

IE I was wrong about in my read of Sloth...does that mean I shouldn't give reads the rest of the game? Statistically speaking every single player is going to misread someone at some point in this game...doesn't mean they have nothing to add.

Because if Fluff truly thought I was scum and saw some pattern of someone buddying or distancing that I was missing...that's an avenue I'd have liked to explore.

By the way, for the folks who trust derpclears...
The funny thing is that I remember adressing this yesterday, I think when I explained to Cerber that No Lynch might give us a night kill to work off?

Keldeo had hedged on Sloth before, and I don't think he could've given him a clear town read at this point. For him to make this a no lynch day when the town core was voting on Sloth was not something town!Keldeo would do, and therefore scum!Keldeo couldn't do it either.

I don't remember ever having that kind of thought.

    Vote TerRaine
I don't like the "you may have got me, but you don't know who my buddy is" vibe.
I remember Tammy having you in her POE yesterday.
You voted fluff over Sloth, whom you townread.
I don't like your case on Tom that you started today with.
And Sloth's all-day tunnel on you exclusively still weirds me out.

The one thing that gives me pause is that you might not actually be on Sloth's team; and that Cobalt was and that's why Vaimes is hunting you now.

If we all played the same ways as Townfolk a lot would fall through the cracks.

Any thoughts about my asta case or am I persona non grata for asking things now?

There is no Jarizok at all on this page. Jarizok is the new Cobalt.

    Why me?
    Explain, please.

What is the point? That you want to be evaluated on your own merits?

    Several points.

I am not scumreading players for voting me. Only tom.

Voting a lurky slot in order to get content from it is one thing. Leaving your vote on the replacement and having no questions, requests, or opinions on their content is another. It’s a scum vote.

tom popped in and said 0 about anything I’ve said. Just that he liked the wagons.

Sure. This is your case, right?
I'm going to have to dig up the quotes for the buddying thing, that was another one of these dialogues that exploded over the meaning of the word?

I really, really don't think TerRaine is Sloth's partner and shouldn't be today's lynch.
