Tom, would be interested in hearing your current read on fonti.

Let it be known that I am synthesizing content. Trying something new, so it may take... a while. Stand by.

tom definitely doesn't give a shit about any subs and am with you that Amy/tom wagons aren't the most inspiring thing. I'm voting Cuth over Amy for a reason. I'm also not really interested in telling anyone what they should or shouldn't be doing with their votes when I can't honestly say I even have any wolfreads. Was there a specific part of that you wanted my thoughts on?

I'm feeling a lot better, but still not around, going to grab some dinner in a bit and chill some more.

Yes, still think youre staying above the fray.
Its probably not major but its a stark contrast to how easily i remember finding townrubi

I dont have a (non-associative) fonti read of my own, but im not interested at the moment.

I think the towniest thing about tom this game is that it doesn't feel like he's playing with or around anyone.

Like, when I mafia read tom I tend to have a pretty clear idea of who his partners probably are or where I would look to find them but I don't have that this game. Which, maybe that's a symptom of my reads in general this game more than a sign about tom's alignment, but, while I don't have a town read on him, I don't have a wolf!tom world and I think that's why I'm not really feeling that vote atm.

@Fonti - Is there a reason that you've not really commenting too much on my reads/catch up posts & thoughts? You just sort of commenting on small things like "they would be W/W" when you sort of seemed real happy when I subbed in + seemed really lost with the game and everything is just sort of making me go "huh??"

Mostly just reassurance that I'm not the only one looking at this Tom vs Amy wagons thing and going "ughhh, this feels...not quite good?" when they're two people in my PoE.

I've been doing a full detailed reread, because that's something I should have done over N1 but didn't. Subbing in is fucking hard and I wanna make sure I've actually got a handle on what's going on in this game.

Currently through page 4 (50ppp), here are my earlygame reads a week too late:

    - I think Vaimes is a villager; his entrance is super carefree for someone who (I've heard) doesn't like wolfing, even if he claims to have improved as of late. I think Dels is a villager for similar but slightly distinct reasons; the phrase I would use is "happy to be here", which is not a sentence I would ever ascribe to scum!Dels.

    - I want to snapread Sloth town off #57; I don't think it's anything super groundbreaking content wise, given that my exact note includes "read seems maybe bad?", but I think it's detailed enough that's it's somewhat difficult to be faked this early in the game.

    - I feel fairly comfortable calling Gemma a villager. I noted the sequence where she argues it's too early to have wolfreads, jokingly says the same into Cuth's joking(?) followup about her townreads, and then providing actual detailed townreads as being one that felt like a villager posting. I also thought it was very thinly towny to care about whether or not Wisp was hiding his online status.

    - I dislike a lot of Rubicon's early posting. I thought #35 was a fairly weak attempt at looking like you're trying to break out of the shitposting phase; feel like a lot of the time a villager is able to come up with a stronger baitread than that, or at least deliver it more effectively. I think the questions:content ratio is somewhat off, and I noted #200 as feeling somewhat slimy/pockety towards Vaimes.

Breaking off here specifically because I need to step away for a moment, but I'll be plowing through as much of the game as I can before I go to sleep tonight. In an ideal world I can at the very least make it through D1.

Hm yeah, when you put it like that, you're right it's odd to be feeling this way.

tom is still a nerd for wanting me dead, by the way.

But he might not be a wolf.

    I'm considering.

I’m going to go ahead and lock in a townread on Vaimes. In broad terms, I think the mindset behind his lemonade comment has been carried forward into his D2 play and, because he’s enjoying himself, he’s been one of the more focused scumhunters here especially toward people he has meta experience with reading like Cobalt and fontisian.

A more specific thing I think indicates he’s town is his nuanced read on fonti and the way he shut down the “she should have solved by now” line of discussion to emphasize that it was her approach to end of day that bothered him specifically.

I don’t believe his read would include that level of nuance if he’s a wolf and she’s town, and I don’t think he tries to undermine her standing in the game like this if they’re a team together. Instead, I think it’s him caring about not letting people dismiss the actual case against her without really understanding it.

Anyway I think most people agree with this already but it seems like regfan in particular is still having doubts so I thought I’d share my perspective.

    Oh hi amy
Would you like to stick to "toms push of me is bad and hes evil for making it" now that several people agree with me?

Was not aware that several people agreed. We'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

The main thing I'm grappling with in my head is the fact that I'm getting bad team game flashbacks from this entire situation. tom pushes Amy (or Amy's slot and Amy by extension) for weakness of content, Amy hard OMGUSes, they're both villagers. Crisis averted because we got N1'd, but... would still rather not tunnel any villagers this game, you feel me?

So basically imma need you to not be a wolf kthx.

If I start complaining about hand cramps later, it's because I thought handwriting notes would be a good idea.

Pros: stickiness of thoughts in brain.

Cons: legibility of own handwriting, fact that I haven't really written any actual physical words in months.

    Hm, okay.

So why the lack of interest in developing a fonti read? (This is me trying to interact with you.)
