Bit of a Darker Fic with a Unique(er) OC. The OC seems powerful, but not to horribly much so for his age, and Naruto seems more Mature. It Also Features Good!Sasuke, and is fairly well written. naruto's fan girls (At age 11) are a nice touch of comic relief.
Personal commendation... 4.2/5

 

Is it just me or does anyone else have problems with Hinata being with anyone besides Naruto, and yet hate that pairing as well?

 

Damn good start. What so far do you think is going to be the hardest part to do with this story?


Anyways, I came across a decent fic I think has a lot of potential.


Unchained Memory

A genjutsu forced a lifetime of false memories upon Naruto. The illusion wasn’t real, but he 'had' a wife and son.

 

I'm getting to that point. Occasionally you find one with where they actually have Hinata confront naruto and they eventually decide it's not going to work, but it's rather rare.

 

I really don't like Hinita at all and love any story that has her die. She is my Ginny for Naruto.

I find it kinda hard to make Naruto fall in love with someone.. I mean, he's been shunned for all his life, then he stays away for a couple of years and comes back noticing all the girls?

That's why I prefer AU stories where Naruto grew up differently and kinda likes a girl (NO HINATA!!!!!!) or Naruto without any girl is okay for me.

 

Come on people, put some effort into checking if fics have already been reccomended... The search box up top is there for a reason.

All of them after I posted have been recced, and recently to boot.

I'm starting to wonder if I should bother to waste my time with this list if you won't spare a second to use the search feature.

And yes Jon, you are almost as awesome as Hedwig.



Edit: And all stories are ruined by romance. Mostly because of the crappy job people do with the characters relationships. Not just Naru/Hina.

I must be the only one that likes that pairing, eh? Then again, I like all pairings.

It currently has 15 chapters with about 90K words. At first I was skeptical about this fic because it was a cross over. A final fantasy 7 cross over no less, and I wasn't sure it could work out. Plus I don't like naruto cross overs in general. But I read the 1st two chapters and I got hooked. I love the fic right now. I love both ff7 and naruto, but who knows what they are like when they put the two together...I thought it was gunna be pretty terrible, but it turned out to be amazing! I am not going to give it a rating yet because I am not sure exactly how this site scale works. But give it a try...Like i said before I don't think it has been posted. The summary doesn't hold a candle to how the story is played out. It takes place in both the naruto universe and ff7 verses...and it goes back and forth in a 'beleivable' manner.

 

I'm still a fan of naru/hina Actually, She's got potential as a character, and he seems to be able to bring it out. {Shrugs}

And I disagree about Romance ruining the stories. Instant or abrupt Romance ruins more stories than almost anything else, but it's not all bad.

 

It's not that I dislike this pairing, it's just that it's been used so much that it's quite boring nowadays.. I wish I had vocabulary and ability enough to write a story.

 

In my opinion, the number of people to use a particular pairing shouldn't effect how you view the pairing itself, you should focus more on the original character, and the story you're reading at the time, rather than the crap stories that butcher and ruin both the original characters, and the English language. I find it easy to appreciate any good story, regardless of whether or not I've seen the plot/ideas/pairing(s) before, but I've always been called weird..

 

You make a good point, but i wouldn't suggest mentioning that where any anti-ginny people could get a hold of that comment

 

True, I've read Team 8 for an example. It's a good story and it's Naruto/Hinata.. What makes me mad, is that every story, Hinata comes stuttering things to Naruto and he realizes he has always loved her and etc..
This is just like Harry/Ginny for me..

 

First of all Team 8 sucks. Plain and simple. And when I said that she was my Ginny for Naruto I meant a character that has been over used to the point where 9/10 times if you click on a story that has Nar/Hin in it you get a story where Naruto finds out she stalks him, realizes she is the one for him and their love power kills all. I will look at a story if it has the paring I just usually end up walking away telling myself that I should have known it...

 

Did you read my whole post? I think exactly the same way as you do concerning this pairing. Only difference is that I like stories when Kurenai has an important role, and Team 8 is a nice example of that. Opinions differ.
