(Context, skip to 3rd last text block if uninterested)

I'm currently reading PotDK and am enjoying it thoroughly. One thing that has given me a painful pause though are the pairings.

Ultimately I don't particularly care *that* much about who ends up with whom, but so far it looks like the author is mirroring the Canon pairings, using incredible contrivances and suspension of disbelief to do it.

I'm on book three, and although I'm not entirely certain, it looks like a ginny/Harry pairing and a ron/Hermione pairing are being shoehorned in.

It's entirely breaking my immersion. I didn't want to look it up, out of fear of spoilers, so a specific question seems like the ideal option.

Does Ron end up in a romance with Hermione, and does Harry end up in one with ginny?

I don't want spoilers per se, but I'd really appreciate a confirmation or otherwise of those two things.

It bothered me enough to ask mainly because of the contrived duel bet, accidental tampering, actually tampered bet being honored, and it would really irk me if it was to bring Hermione and ton together.

Well, compared the series is abandoned, we will never know.

Harry/Ginny seems unlikely by the later books. In fact, any pairing with Harry looks unlikely. Hermione and Ron are more likely, but it looked like you won't see that romance until the epilogue or something.

This fic really doesn't contain a lot of romance or pairings, so you should be fine.

 

What Lindsey said. There's some UST here and there but no typical fanfic pairings to speak of.
