I've been sick the last couple of days, and thus been bored out of my mind.

Which is why, when I saw Cataclymic's list over stories that didn't make the cut, and someone had posted a story that was already in the library, I thought, why not make a list over all the stories that are already in the library?

So now I've made an alphabetical ordered list, but since the "For Review" section is, well, for posting stories for review, I thought I'd ask before posting.

In conclusion, if you (all the Mods and Admins) want it, I'll post it in the "For Review" section (or anywhere else for that matter) and if you don't want it I won't.

So send me a message, mail or just answer in this thread with your answer.

 

Thats... actually a rather decent idea, if you put the sub-forums each story is in with the title... Lord knows I've wanted a thread with that info when I went looking for a specific story I knew was here.

But I'd wait a bit and get the rest of the staff's opinions. Raven and Mid will be on IRC later tonight I'm sure.

 

Alright. If it's given the OK, then I'll work more on it and also add links to the specific thread for each story.

Thats really useful. It should stop reposts of fics in the For review section as well, given how easy it is to do a search.

 

About 24 hours copy/paste-ing, done over a couple of days.

 

Wow. Absolutely brilliant idea. Not only a great idea but also really well done for following through with it.

Edit: As an afterthought, are we maintaining this list like we do with the list of deleted fics or is it Kate's baby (given her new user title)?

 

I've talked to Vash about that. You're (Who ever have access to do that) keeping it up to date, but I'm going to keep an eye on it too.

When I find fics that have been added to the archive, but not to the list, I'll write them down and then, when that list is long enough, I'll add links, send it to an admin and ask for an update.

 

What do you think about adding some kind of complete/non-complete check to it? It would be useful when trying to sort through stories you want to read. Maybe a chapter amount as well or a rating? Would you need any help with that because I have some free time and could do it?

 

Since you can't edit your posts after a day, you will have to talk to the admins about any new editing, but to add chapter amount would probably be overdone, since it would be a hell to keep the list up to date, when a lot of the fics constantly get new chapters.

 

Good point . . . ah hell, never mind then. Completion:no/yes would probably be really annoying to do as well.

 

Yeah, good idea. That appeals to my admittedly dominant lazy streak.
