    Actually, the 4th commemorates the first signatories to the Declaration; the final ones, making it a legal binding agreement, took place on August 2nd.

    Not entirely positive, but I'm pretty sure the 4th isn't for the first signatures. The 4th is just celebrated because thats the day it was date it was adopted into congress or something like that.

    and Syao: 1776 or some shit is when the Dec was signed... So around 231 years.
