Good story, even though there is a million of them out there, it's action packed and Harry is quite independent in this story, I like it quite a bit and the author is quite good at updating, already 42,000 words since September 8.

Havn't seen this on DLP, hope not at least.

 

First of all, you are missing the link. Second, I'll give it a shot, but based on the summary, this is getting trashed. Honestly, the entire idea is identical to a dozen other stories.

Firstly, I've edited your post and put in a link.

Secondly, I've read the first chapter of this story. It is .... lame and not worth the trash bin. I see very little hope of this panning out to having anything worthy of our support for.

The Dialog is lacking. The characters aren't close in some cases. The ... The list goes on, really.

1/5 for effort and little else.

 

I say, you don't think Spikystar has heard of Blade, do you?

I haven't read it yet, but one really should let a peice of writing speak for itself, not preface it with vulgar pleases for approval.

Upon reading only the summary: I liked this story better when it was Blade.

Upon actually wading into the story: Seriously, are you high or something? I mean, I've done things in the grips of fatigue-induced hallucinations I've later regretted, but nothing on the scale of this monstrosity. The grammar alone makes it painful to read. I'm not just saying that. I literally winced and looked away at least once per paragraph. I actually groaned at one point.

Let's ignore that for now and look at the first chapter. Blade, erm, I mean Harry decides to introduce himself to his brand new classmates at the opening feast. Where he can't eat food, because, y'know, vampire. Or touch the silverware. He gets around this by not eating and putting on gloves halfway through the meal.

Smoooooth.

Honestly, this is just fucking painful. But, possibly due to some deep-seated self-hatred, I'll try another chapter.

Upon reading second chapter: ...it got worse. Just do us all a favour and get the fuck out of DLP.



Edit: Wow, I found something that destroys any faith I may have left in the human race more than the author's profile: the reviews for this piece of shit. Gods damn.

 

If you go the book store in the Fantasy novel section, you will see dozens and dozens of different books with the idea of a half vampire, half human.

Why would I want to read a fanfic about them, when dozens of novels exists with this concept and do it (most likely) far better than this?

This is *disgustingly* bad. The only half-vampire I ever even considered liking was Bloodrayne, for obvious reasons. Any other vampire asking for my blood and I'll laugh in their face. And shoot silver bullets like the Dickens.

 

I couldn't agree more, but that whole 2007 thing did make me laugh. I must be really tired right now or agree with it very much so.

As for the reviews... well, the story grammar was horrible, and so was the grammar for the reviews! I mean, worse then normal. One review even said this story was perfect.

Its not, not even for a split second.

I couldn't get past the first half of the first chapter.

What is this story even doing here? I ask the powers that be to get rid of this thread.

 

This is one of those stories that fails pretty hard, but not QUITE hard enough to be worthy of remembering, like "My Immortal".

 

Oh ya, you definitely had to read this fic to realize it was a piece of shit.

I didn't know words on a computer screen could make me feel so much pain..... well... ok.... maybe the pain is from ripping out my eyeballs after them having been so tainted by this but..... nah... it's the words..... my god... I'm not normally as harsh as most DLPers but damn..... make it stop!

 

I read more of it, against better judgement, just sort of chose the chapter titled "The Hunt" because it sounded reasonable.

That's the most untragic thing that I've ever read that was intended to be tragic. I swear my eyeballs popped out of my sockets, ran down the street, and killed a passerby.

 

The title is ok. It would possibly grab my attention as I am searching for a fic. The name "SpikyStar" would turn me off pretty fast, the summary would kill any thoughts that I would have to read it.

1/5 only because I can't give it a lower score.

And yes, I did try to read it...

 

I'm going to disagree. Admittedly, the OP does deserve a smack upside the head for even posting this one, and it has no place in the DLP Library or even Trash Bin.

But I haven't had so much fun reading such an awful fic like this in a while.

0/5 on the DLP scale, but a solid 4/5 on the stained-future scale of crap.

I'm suprised anyone even read this. I was going to just give it a 1/5 and let it be just because of the summary. If the author's attempt at a summary is that... The story can't be any better than the 1/5 it will get.
