Authors like that shouldn't be writing fanfiction. Hell, they shouldn't even be writing shopping lists.

Now THAT is a Ginny-specific story I could read!

Anyone want to issue the challenge?

If you kill Weasel-Bitch off just to ignore her, make sure it's a really, really lame death. Like she got run over by the Knight Bus, or gets impaled by a...

    ... broom.

There's one fic that is a wheel of time "crossover." It turns out that magic is a system built on top of the channeling power from the books, Harry and Ginny redevelop the channeling system. Harry is the incarnation of the main good guy (Rand al'Thor? It's been a while), and Ginny eventually betrays him and goes over to the main bad guy because she sees his defeat as inevitable. It was an interesting story, not too long, and a new reason for Ginny to go evil.

    Can't remember the name though.

I have read one really good Ginny goes evil story... I think. (But bare in mind that I 1. Like Ginny Weasley, and 2. like the pairing Ginny/Draco. So I doubt any of you would like it. I'm hard pressed to remember the story line actually, I was basically the dark side won, nearly all the light were killed off. Ginny, Fred and George were evil. They'd killed the rest of their family. I think it started from Harrys point of view; he is in hiding underground. It tells how he remembered it happening. It's been a long, long time since I read it.

There have been a couple others too, one was a Ginny/Blaise that became Ginny/Draco with Ginny and Blaise remaining friends. They are all powerful Ginny and powerful Draco though. One of those Slytherin house politic fics.

Death Eater Ginny can be fun, but you can't really use Ginny Weasley from the books. It's pretty much just creating an OC, slapping red hair on her head and naming her Ginny Weasley.

    Get out.

I hate that pairing with a passion. Why would Draco get with a blood traitor slut like Ginny?

I'm not here to argue the pairing. It's an aquired taste. All that Romio and Juliet shit.

My actual point to the post was that THAT pairing is where you find Dark/Death Eater Ginny.

I can see the attraction of Romeo and Juliet, but this comparison isn't really valid. The basic concept is there, but Draco would be a deadbeat Romeo, and no Paris is in a hurry to try to win Ginny's hand in marriage.

    We will always have Neville.

    "Ginny, will thoust marry me."

"But my dear Neville, I loveth sir Draco-"

    "OF WITH HER HEAD!"

    *Blood and gore*

heh... Neville, super charged after killing Nagini has come to a decision that swords are a good way to settle every problem in life.

Meh, it's the opposite never going to happen pairing. I like those. (Like, Hermione/FredORGeorge. Plus, there are some great characterisations out there. I'm pretty open minded and don't really care if an OC is slapped on a canon name so long as it isn't overly stupid and there is a good story to be read. Like, The Code, it has a complely OOC Draco; he is portrayed as a genius hiding under a slightly better than average person, but he's pretty mixed up in head when it comes to feelings and that. It couldn't be written with any other character really, because of the background. That one isn't a romancy story though, since the pairing only starts in the last story of the triology.

Either way, if the character is developed well enough, any character can be good as a lead in a story, and can do cannon OOC things while it appears to be the most natural thing in the world.

There is always that, damn I forgot the name of it... where someone is captured and imprisoned for a certain amount of time, and when they are released they sympathise with their capturs and take their side/become one of them. That would be an interesting war, death eater Ginny story. You could even give her a big, bloody and disgusting death if your heart desired it. But I think it would be more interesting if, A, she killed one of her own relatives, realised what she did, gets claraty and then kills herself, or B, slowly comes around, realises what she has become, goes through the motions and either turns spy, a slightly insane one, or runs back to her family and is put into a ward. I would actually love to read a story like that, a well done story, mind.

There's a fairly new story that has a Death Eater Ginny in it... 'course it's not the focus of the story or anything. <g> Think Quantum Leap combined with Harry Potter, only without any of the Quantum Leap characters and technology.

    I've been considering this:

Ginny is in lust with Ron. She cannot win his love, so she resorts to dirtier means. This gets her expelled from hogwarts and cast out of her family. With no where to turn, she becomes homeless. She contiues to practice rudimentary dark magic (and sucks at it) and while practicing a spell in a faux-grimoire (she was conned) she induces dementia – rather, a brain-degeneration curse on herself. Ginny dyes her hair black, and having become a waif due to her homelessness, she is unrecognizable. Thus, she joins the Death Eaters to get revenge on her family and to kill and fuck her brother (in that order).

It's heavily convoluted though. Anyone got a simpler way to characterize her so she'd turn to the "dark side"? Of course, it can't just be some lame possession scene or anything, she has to suffer and do it of her own free will.
