What the hell is up with all of the twin boy-who-lived bullshit stories that have popped up here lately? The majority are un-imaginative and cliched in the extreme, so why is the trend continuing?

Unfortunately, I did not reach the cult of evil squibs before nearly smashing my mouse apart in a mad dash to hit the red 'x'.

The writing is just not there. Not even close. It was not even vaguely pleasurable to read.

The author had a pretty interesting idea with shifting magical cores, but just wasted it, because the presentation was that bad.

And if Harry's a squib, don't put him in Hogwarts. I don't care what unlikely plot device the writer pulls, just don't do it.

If other people here say that the payoff of good ideas is worth the short as sin chapters, the deplorable writing style, the cruel Lily&James cliche, then I'll give it another try.

    Until then, maybe a 1/5 or 2/5.

    A Powerful squib?...
    Fuck, even if it's well-written, I just don't dig squib!Harry stories.

EDIT: Ok, I gave it a try and I officially regret wasting those precious 5 minutes of my life. Compared to this even my Law presentation seems like something worthwhile.

Harry Potter as squib = Fail.

I can almost smell the katana lurking in the background, waiting to rear is fanon head in future chapters.

Just a standard Twin-story, with the ever-neglected Harry and the parents who have a unilateral system of affection. The only slightly interesting part was injecting potions into his bloodstream to affect his magical output. The rest didn't entertain much.

Why is it always martial arts...

While I do have a slight weakness for twin stories, this one simply pissed me off. James and Lily are deader between the ears than usual. Newsflash, morons! If the supposed Boy-Who-Lived is a squib then *gasp* you made a mistake! Is simple, five-year-old logic beyond these people? 1/5

ROFL, funny shit right there. But at least it wasn't like most LULTWINBWL stories, they didn't outright abused Harry, but Filch, and squib grindelwald? LOOOL.

I liked it myself. I'd rate it a 3 for being "average" however. It certainly is a different take on things than anything else.

And thats true, its always martial Arts... But I do recall one story, if anyone finds it send me a link please, that had him abandoned by the Dursleys... I know cliche right away right? Nope, when they find him, he's too old to go to Hogwarts and works in the UFC... Great story, can't find it and that pisses me off...

I read this a week ago, promised my friend and I must correct you it is a Dagger, guess who owned it? Salazar Slytherin, it gets worse from there...:whipped:

Squib!Harry sucks. I like the Harry in the story to be able to use magic. I don't understand what is the purpose of the Squib! fics

A Dark!Powerful!Squib Harry does not exist.

As for the story, well, I tried reading the first chapter and failed. Miserably.

He works in an American fighting association that is at most in it's VERY beginnings?

    Word.

Edit: Cage fighter-Harry could be cool though.

Kind of a cop out for researching British cage fighting don't you think?

(And UFC began and is still centered almost entirely in Vegas, ~6000 miles from Surrey.)

I don't know if you can necessarily call Harry a squib in this story, though. Sure, he can't use "normal" magic, but he's basically telekinetic and an elemental. I'm sure more abilities will pop up randomly.

In any case, I like some of the ideas presented by the author enough to use it as a time filler, but it's definitely bordering on my cliché limit. A 3/5, I think...my standards aren't quite as high as those of others in this thread, though that will probably change within a few months.

Random abilities equals shit, judging by what is already written.

I don't know how I managed to get to chapter 7, but this story is complete fail.

Jesus christ.... this right here is the fucking absolute truth.

To be honest, there should be a penalty for the next person posting a rec for a Twin boy-who-lived fic that turns out to be shit.

Seriously, this crap needs to be burned with jellied white gas and buried in a lead lined coffin.

I suggest that a ban be offered for the next Twin to Harry fic that proves to be less than stellar (if such a beast even exists).

I normally wouldn't suggest such a thing since limiting the types of fics that can be offered up for review might lead to more such limits and thus a cooling effect to submissions... but twin fics are just so godawful for the most part (along with Slash) that I've yet to see one that doesn't just piss me off that it even exists.

1/5 since it's as low as the rating goes.
