Kidding. I suppose there would be IRC-like qualities to it, but I'm talking about combining aspects of my iChat within the actual forum. For example: -If someone updates a new thread, it would 'float' itself to the top of my queue, instead of me refreshing it.

-Or I could go in the thread and see who's in the process of typing out responses. If, say, five people saw one person in the act of typing, and those other people knew that person's posting history, they'd probably wait and see what he was saying, as opposed to having 5 people say the same damn thing, y'know?

- If someone was getting banned, that could be equated to the door opening/closing aspect of iChat, but with the newly-added paintball colors,and perhaps a small, Halo-esque animation/sound clip

I suppose that would make the forum more like a game - probably way above vBulletin's capabilities. It's not really a suggestion, just something I'd like to figure out how to accomplish.

 

Hey, guys, how about we all just shut the fuck up? He wanted to help out around the boards, and if the mods were cool with it, what the fuck business is it of yours? They didn't want his help, he said okay, and things went back to normal. He wasn't doing shit but wanting to relieve some boredom and you all start telling him how much he fails.

So you are talking about a combination between messenger and a forum? Not impossible, if you got a year or so to waste and some skills.
