This past week, Rowling worked her magic for 800 words in an attempt to raise more money for charity, citing an inability to donate any of her hundreds of millions of dollars that could work just as well and not involve ruining the already tarnished reputation of her series. Well, she didn't say that but I'm going to guess that's what she thought.

I remember that one little 3x3 book she made with doodles of a Phoenix and Wizard's Cap that sold for 10x as much.

I'm going to take advice from someone who:

1) Can't admit they're Indian and engages in more self-hate and self-loathing than a Jew.
2) Has problems interacting with females. Seriously. You'd just be another BP/Xiph0 if you engaged males like you did Anna, BloodLust and Tinn. But you specifically target women and act like a jackass towards them.

So yes - I'm going to call Rowling an attention-seeking whore. People who do the sign-something/write something/use something and donate it for charity thing are just that. There's a reason Stephen Colbert did it on his show (his cast). Because it works with his shtick of being an attention-seeking whore.

I don't auction off my golf clubs or gardening tools to see how much money I can get for them and then donate the money to charity and I wouldn't if I was somehow popular. All I do is donate. Or you know, buy animals or specific things that will help people in Africa so they learn how to become self-sufficient.

Or go and actually help out like I did in southeast asia in 2004 or in the DROC or along the Rwandan border....

Yeah, you get the picture. So she's an author - she's creating absolute shit - little picture books or a postcard. At least the Deathly Hallows were somewhat interesting and seemingly collector worthy. If she wants to make a real difference, she can give up half her fortune.

Or she can be like Bill and Melinda Gates or Warren Buffett - give it all up when they die. And in the mean time, give half of it to charities.

Just read the prequel at the book companies website and I have to say it sucks. In case you haven't read it and don't want to read the spoilers then ignore this:

Basically it sucked.

 

...That's certainly not what I was worried about.

I mean, she pictured Snape as an insufferable character with good motivations (all trolling aside, we can say he really did love Lily and was not a creepy stalker) (Vash, I'm so sorry), a lot of courage, and a somewhat touching personal history. If she includes him in the vignette, which I doubt, she'll either make him more insufferable -- but it can hardly be worse than what we've seen in the books, and it won't have much of an influence on James' character -- or less so -- and then it will certainly not be for James' benefit.

I'll keep you informed.
