Wanted plot bunny

    Maybe I got struck by the retard train but I had this really odd idea. If anyone has ever read the comic series or seen the movie Wanted, I thought about something where Harry is stuck in to normalcy following the war, working a 9-5 job with the Ministry and Ginny being a general slut. Then, some female character, Fleur or Slytherin girl, helps Harry realize himself and the power he has and recruits him as a hit wizard. I don't know, it just struck me as kinda cool. Flame if you want, I just want to see opinions on this and if anyone would like it.

    Well, why not? Cut out Ginny, and the bit where some other random girl helps him to suddenly realise that he is uber-awesome and just didn't know it, and ... oh. Wait. That was all you wrote.

    But seriously, what you wrote there is nothing more than a setup. The first half of a first chapter. Harry becoming a Hitwizard is fine by me. Attractive female partner to work with? Great.

    Only, if you want to write it, get a plot. If he becomes a Hitwizard, you need a new threat and a new villain, a backstory, some other interesting characters: a plot, as I said.


    Oh, and if you want to read it, start with Heather's Gentleman Usher of the Scarlet Rod at once.

    Thanks for the link, and I do indeed feel like a shithead for posting this. Meh just got hyped up about the story, just watched the movie and read the comic a while ago. Looks like I have to lurk moar. Could a please mod close this thread.

    If you cut out what I mentioned (Ginny being a slut does nothing to the story and seems to be there just to appeal to your audience), it isn't an actually bad setup. By all means, if you ever get a real plot-idea for a Post-Hogwarts story, start it off this way. You could do worse.

    ^Ginny being a slut is a part of the plot. In the movie and comic series, Wesley (Harry) had a girlfriend that fucked around and was a part of the reason he wanted to leave his life.
