That's got to be a lookalike. But it puts the message across real well. Potter should have gone for Luna.

 

I prefer the young, innocent Luna. She was spot on for the role. I don't think she fits the way she is trying to look in those later photos and interviews.

And canon Harry/Luna would have been good, but I can't help thinking JKR would have just royally fucked that up.

I simple hate most of J.K Rowlings developed characters. No characteristics are better than ones that I simple cannot stand.

I was actually blown away by Lynch's performance as well guys. Although I hate Luna in the books, I was actually able to tolerate her in the movies, but that doesn't stop me from hating all three pairings in fanfiction and believing that a story is ruined when they try to pair Harry up with Luna. Sorry, but if you keep Luna in character, she just can't be a romantic interest for anybody unless she changes, or there is a male counterpart of her. Seriously, her craziness can be cute, but I find it more annoying then anything after five chapters.

I wasn't really trying to diss Lynch, I was more trying to stop the rabid fangirlism I see with her here. I mean, damn, you guys can chill. I didn't attempt to pick the worst picture, I just typed her name into google and picked the first.

Coincidence that it was apparently the worst one out there.

Harry Potter films is Lynch with the best makeup money can provide. Even Ginny can be made to look semi-attractive in the films, it's just hopeless otherwise. Ginny is plain in the films and close to ugly in real life(she needs to get rid of those damn bangs). Lynch is cute and pretty in the films, but quite plain in real life.

That is no lie. I was shocked at how plain Parvatie and Padma looked. The casting director truely needs to be shot.

 

Ahh but Evolution isn't a fact, it is still a theory. Almost fact sure, and anyone with half a brain does in fact regard it as what happened, but it is still a strongly supported theory.

Not many big science observations will ever be able to be made fact, for there is always room for some doubt.

Of course, people who argue against evolution are pretty much just grasping at loose straws by now.

 

In the movie they seem to try to put forward Hermione as often as possible, they're not trying to stop her being hollywoodised. Actually, I agree that there was no way the H/Hr paring was going to happen in the books, but that's a bit the vibe I get from the films. I rather dislike Watson anyways, but what bothers be the most is how they seem to purposefully do her hair wrong. It used to be about right, and now it's gotten sleek and lighter or something, which I assume is artificial (specially as we've all seen her pubes now...). And of course the Patil twins are just as badly cast. Hard to understand how they couldn't find one hawt indian girl... And Cho, who is described as one of the prettiest girls in canon, is really actually plain (actually, maybe that's why Watson looks nice... none of the others are really decent except Luna in that odd sort of way). Also people are used to American films where they put glasses on a model if they need a nerd.

I actually think there are quite a few actors who fill in their roles quite well. Umbridge did well, and Mad-Eye is pretty good if I remember well, and even though I don't like snape, Rickman is, as always, excellent. Michael Gambon is a travesty though. Harris did so much better it's scarry.

If anything the last movie was geared towards H/L.

 

McGonnagall and Flitwick are quite well done. Though Flitwick started looking odder and odder as the movies progressed. Course, it could be that I'm always glad to see Willow Ulfgood get work.

 

Really can't remember the movie that well. To be fair, the only one I thought was good was PoA (even if doesn't respect canon, at least it's a decent bit of cinematography), and maybe that's where I got that from. And maybe the GoF as well... it's true that Ginny magically reappears in OotP (in the movie as well as canon), can't remember what she does though.

 

I agree with Mirkwood. The fifth film had much, much more Harry/Luna than anything else. Anyone who hasn't read the books will most likely be really surprised by the H/G pairing and the complete lack of Luna in the sixth movie (I was surprised when Luna mostly dropped out of the picture in book six).
