I really don't think that any anime/manga could be a good crossover with HP.
They just don't work.

But by all means, prove me wrong. I just haven't seen it yet.

 

Actually, Code Geass would be a great anime to cross with HP. Can't you just imagine the shitstorm Harry could cause with Lelouch's geass? Even worse, if CC was the one to give a geass to Vodlemort (like Mao) before giving one to Harry?

 

Imperio > Lelouch's Geass.
Any spell > geass.

 

Imperius (curse). "Imperio" is the incantation. Also, you can fight the Imperius curse, and one can be put in prison for life just for using it on another human being. That's canon. It's also canon in Code Geass that you CANNOT fight the Geass. The only weakness of Lelouch's Geass is that it cannot be cast upon the same person twice, and that it doesn't work on someone with a Code (like C.C. or V.V.).

However, Geasses reflect people's inner heart's desire, as shown by C.C. who, when she had a Geass, made people love her. Lelouch wanted control over people. I have a feeling that Harry would get a geass much like that of C.C.'s, rather than Lelouch's, given what we saw in the Mirror of Erised.

 

If you want to correct him, then do it right. It's the Imperius Curse, and not "Imperious".

There are some similarities between Gantz and HP, Kei dies in a Train station and goes to a room, Harry dies and goes to a train station, also.....Ah fuck. screw it, its a worse idea than crossing Hp/Naruto and then also making it slash.

 

Crossovers between Japanese anything and Harry Potter fail. End of story. You want to make two worlds more incompatible, just try and put Star Wars and some Japanese manga together. It isn't cool, it's fail, and so is this thread.

 

I like GantZ; quite a lot, actually. That does not mean I think it would cross over well with Harry Potter. In fact, I'm going to go ahead and say it wouldn't cross over well at all, and, for that matter, there is no reason to even bother. You can't even use it as a viable plot device!

Harry dies and goes to the room. What does he gain from this? His parents? If they were alive from the room, they would have come back to collect him long ago. Sirius? If you want to save Sirius, just write a fic starting from the end of OotP and give Harry the intelligence to realize that going to the Department of Mysteries is a retarded idea.

The technology? No. Harry Potter is about magic, and damn it, it should stay that way. Harry doesn't need a gun that fires explosive nanites, regardless of how cool it is. Harry doesn't need a cosplay suit that would grant him greater physical attributes and defenses, because instead of jumping half a mile, he can teleport, he can lift things with magic, strike things with magic, and damn it, he can damn well protect himself with magic.

There is absolutely no reason you would want to write a crossover between Harry Potter and GantZ. Hell, at least with Naruto there are a hell of a lot of dead people you can revive using the room.
