Well, I found a crappy Jewtube link the other day, but thanks to aintitcool I managed to find the trailer in smexi quicktime format.

    Here it be.

Now, some of you may have been hearing mixed up stories about this and who it features and stuff. Confirmed awesome characters (both by the producers and the trailer) are:

Ryan Reynolds - Wade Wilson / Deadpool
Liev Schreiber - Victor Creed / Sabretooth
Dominic Monaghan - Barnell Bohusk / Beak
    Lynn Collins - Silver Fox
Daniel Henney - David North / Agent Zero
Taylor Kitsch - Remy LeBeau / Gambit
Kevin Durand - Frederick J. Dukes / The Blob

There's more, but these are some of the ones I'm holding out to see. I get the feeling I'm going to laugh when I see Monaghan as Beak.

Now of course I know that trailers are misleading, but I'm keeping a strong hope that this well end up okay. I've been waiting for this movie since they first announced it (Still another 135 days to go) so I'm kinda excited. There are some good things and bad in the trailer.

I'm almost certain I saw young Ororo (Storm) in there for a split second at 1:52. I'm also pretty sure I saw Emma Frost shifting to diamond skin but imdb doesn't confirm her appearance.

Deadpool doesn't seem to have his scars. Which I will be very upset about, unless the shot we see him in was a one-off and he does don a mask of some sort. Reynolds as Deadpool should be something epic, but even he might be able to fuck him up. I'm still thinking Deadpool can be done well here.

Onto the man I've been wringing my hands about - Gambit. Kitsch is a pretty new face in Hollywood and the producers chose him after 2 or 3 big shots turned down the role. Now, from what I hear from ainitcool, Gambit isn't playing a very big role in the movie. This is both good and bad I guess. If Kitsch or the producers of the movie fuck it up, then it means he was only there for a while and they always have a shot to try it again. Of course, if he's portrayed awesomely then he gets very little screen time. Reports about Kitsch are good, and in the few seconds we see him in the trailer, Gambit is looking cool.

There's rumors of Alpha Flight making an appearance but I'm not sure, though the starting plotline (Wolverine's childhood) should be well-done. Weapon XI will be in it, if only to get his arse handed to him by Wolverine or Sabertooth.

In the end, trailer is promising except for a few shots (particularly the slow walk away from the explosion shot - eugh) which is to be expected from everything. I'm hoping they manage to nail this one, after failing with the X-Men movies.

    /me crosses fingers.

EDIT: I think the trailer is being shown before screenings of The Day The Earth Stood Still. I dunno what else they play it for though.

Meh. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm expecting this to be a giant amount of failure. Doesn't look good to me.

EDIT: Emma Frost needs more tits.

LOL, it's damn-near impossible to find real-life actors as stacked or as jacked as their comicbook counterparts. As much as Hugh Jackman looks the part, that was pure luck - nothing more, nothing less.

That being said...Emma Frost needs more tits :awesome

Gambit looks okay, but the new Sabertooth looks retarded. I'm sure he's a better actor, but still.Blob looks stupid, but I doubt he'll get much screentime, and I can see Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. I hope they aren't super gay and leave him unmarred (and thus unmasked) just cos he's a pretty boy, though.

As far as the story goes, I'm slightly confused; I was under the impression that Wolverine was more or less taken against his will since his healing factor was too enticing to ignore by the Weapons Plus program. Regardless of any changes in canon, I'm with Jenkins: they have to make up big-time for the fuckup that was X-3 (I blame Halle fucking Berry and her ego for the majority of that).

Deadpool better be fucking nuts, and talk to the audience a lot.

Honestly, I'm going to love that. And none of my friends are going to understand it.

I haven't seen X-3 yet, so explain to me what Halle Berry's ego played in it? JB.

This does look pretty awsome though.. D:

I despise Ryan Reynolds. Hopefully the awesome that is Deadpool will make up for him.

I thought i saw Deadpool cause he was swinging two katana's around. But his face isn't screwed up and it was only a couple of seconds.

Gambit looks aswome, Sabertooth even better. The fight scenes are going looking great and i just hope they don't mess with the story.

Can't wait till the movie comes out.

Ahhhh, Deadpool. What can be said.

Hope the ending is really fucked up, like the blob just eating everyone. Just to see the look on the die hard comic fans, who know how much he fails.

    This.

Pretty much exactly this. I think the guy with the katanas isn't dead pool though. Too little screen time to tell, honestly.

IIRC, Wolverine was...persuaded to join the Weapon Plus program after Sabretooth laid waste to his lover (White Fox, I believe) and was offered the chance of getting revenge against him if he joined.

As for the movie; it looks promising (not hard considering how god-awful X3 was) but I'm most interested in Deadpool, and whether or not he'll be horribly disfigured like in the comics. That one snippet of him untouched by cancer gives you the impression that he won't be messed up (or at least in this movie) but you never know, they might have him appear that way because of his healing factor and ditch his outfit.

    Wildfeather: It's Deadpool, trust me.

ahsun: Burn in hell, for such cries of heresy.

I still think they can pull it off. It's an interesting story line, those who have read it will know what I mean and apparently some of the writers of the series joined in with the script.

I'm in agreement though, Emma Frost needs tits. If it is Emma Frost.

Halle pulled the diva card, complaining that her character wasn't getting enough screentime/importance - despite the fact the Storm is pretty much the token black girl in the comic. I won't spoil it for you (it can do that without my help), I'll just say that there were some deaths that will rate about an 9000/10 on your WTF-o-Meter.

I know that the guy wielding the swords was definitely Reynolds, and Jenks said that Reynolds = Deadpool...I guess we'll have to see what happens to his face. I think he could still do a good job with the role, although he did crash and burn with the whole "jokester/ass-kicker" role in Blade Trinity...

Maybe he'll pull a Robert Downey, Jr., and surprise everyone.

I dunno. I liked the scene when he provoked the vamps as he was held hostage ad tortured. It was quite funny.

    Rather slapstick, and lame, IMO.

Never saw Blade Trinity, but both the other movies failed hard in my opinion. So I'm going to base the crap characterization on script rather than Reynolds, who is usually pretty good at his stuff.

I read something about this in Empire, and it looks as though it'll turn out okay, though I've lost all faith in the X-Men movies after the clusterfuck of a third one.

Remy was always one of my favourite characters, nice to see him show up, and Hugh Jackman is the only person I could ever see as Wolverine.

I wonder what direction they'll go next, if this movie is a success. IIRC, the next most popular spin off of the X-Men was Wolverine vs. The Hulk...

Next on tap that I've heard of was Captain America. I definitely think the Avengers is going to happen - it was blatantly pointed out in Iron Man, and I know wolverine was briefly a part of that team.

(On topic: I'm still waiting for an epic line from Wolverine, where he calls someone a "rookie". I hope it happens in this movie.)

They are definitely doing a Captain America movie and a Thor movie and a second Iron Man, then finally an Avengers movie sometime in 2010. Also they are going to do a Justice League movie but even with the tiny amount of info available about it, its got fail written all over it, supposedly its going to be a teen JLA movie.

As for this its definitely Deadpool as Jenkins said, its been confirmed multiple times. I personally think Reynolds is fucking hilarious and will do a great job as Deadpool, there aren't a lot of actors around with his kind of mix of crazy and funny.

If you mean a cartoony one, there was a preview at the Armageddon Expo. Had all the sons and daughters of the Justice League being trained up by Tony Stark in some hidden location for some special purpose, blahblahblah.

Yeah, it's the first time I've ever walked out of a movie, and I didn't regret it one bit.
