    Title: As Yet Untitled
    Author: bellerophon30
    Rating: T
    Genre: Mystery/Suspense
    DLP Category: General
    Pairing: H/Hr (mild)
Status: WIP (nearly 200k as of today, fairly decent update rate)
Summary: A Post-Hallows story, not counting the Epilogue. Harry and company are adults now and new pressures arise, along with a new/old villain. (author summary)
    Link: As Yet Untitled

I was fairly surprised that this fic didn't come up in 'For Review', the Recycling Bin or the Library when I did a story ID search. The author has also written two other long stories (The Brave New World and Harry Potter and the Final Straw). I've seen at least one of them floating around here somewhere.

'As Yet Untitled' is a Political!Harry story. Harry reorganises the Order of the Phoenix when a new threat comes up after Voldemort's demise. The H/Hr romance is fairly low key, so if you don't like the pairing it's not an immediate reason not to read the story. Unfortunately though, it seems a bit rushed. There's a lot of Weasley-bashing, especially Arthur, Molly and Ginny are frequent targets. Sometimes too much for my taste, but opinions may differ.

What makes this story outstanding is the amount of political stuff going on. Harry is not all-powerful or on a Mary Sue ego trip which is so common for many fics of the Independent genre. 'Untitled' is actually one of the few stories where Harry relies on his brains and his allies instead of showing off his magical muscles by going on a Godzilla rampage thorough the wizarding world.

If you've read 'Brave New World' and were shocked by the sheer amount of OCs, hush - in 'As Yet Untitled' there are very few of them. Luckily.

I give this story a 4.5/5 - the romantic subplot really drags it down sometimes, but the political intrigues and a smart Harry by all means make up for it.

Yes, that would be because it was posted here already (two times?) and never made it out of the For Review forum. It's on the list -- with the name and the author, not the ID ;)

Edit: Also, am I the only one who finds that story title really stupid?

This is an interesting story. It breaks some new ground in the " post war fic"
style. It is pleasant to read. It is not on the top on my update list, but holds a rare spot I have not yet made for fan fics, that of Let me get to when I can set aside some time and pay attention.
I really only used to do this for news magazine stories, read the short articles in the loo, and the big ones "when I had time".
    3/5 rating

It sort of reminds me of dickens or bronte, everone says the story is great, (oliver, wuthering heights..)
I sorta like it, but feel I am missing something, because I don't think it is a great story... but it is much better than most of the hp fics out there.

I kept reading it until the

HP/HG revelation where they calmly discuss their feelings and how much they love each other.

It was so cheesy and cliche, not to mention ridiculous. Real people don't talk like at, at least, not that I've seen. I might give it another go, but that part just really turned me off.
