Pretty nice. I'd get rid of that wireless shit though. All that for $800+ isn't that bad either.

Ah, pounds. Didn't really look at the price all that much after I saw the specs.

MEh, first of all that is in punds not dollars, so the price is actually pretty abd.

Second, if you are not willing, or don't know someone who is willing to put a computer together from pieces I cant help you all that much.

Go to www.bit-tech.net look under the hardware section, they have hardware guides that show you computer builds. From what I have seen the parts they recommend generally are the best you will find unless you want to do lots of research.

If you are worrying about money then I suggest you build your next computer.

Considering he's living in the UK, shipping in a pc from California might raise a few issues.

    No it doesn't.

OP: Try Dabs, Komplett or Hardwareversand if you decide to build your own. Hardwareversand also do assembly of your computer for about €20, but probably cost a lot more in shipping seeing as they're German.

EDIT: Looks like komplett no longer ship to England. Suck for you. D:

Pretty dam good system for gaming IMO. Youll be able to play all the newest games out so far at max settings. I have that same monitor, and it is awesome for a 1680 x 1050 full HD setting. If you've never built a computer before, i recommend that you do, it saves you money and overall produces a much better computer. Some things you might wanna ditch is Windows Vistaids, awful stuff, and replace the motherboard with an asus one.

Thanks to everyone who has posted. I have done the self build thing before and I found the entire process to be a total pain in the ass. I think I spent about £700 to £800 last time.
So the price of the one above seemed OK to me.

With two video cards, that PSU doesn't look to be enough. Not quite sure though, but I'd take something a bit larger.

I just checked cyberpowers PSU recommendation guide and they say 700w plus for two ATI Radeon HD 4850 cards. I can get either a 750w,780w,800w,850w,900w or a 1000w PSU to choose from.
For some reson beyond me the 750w PSU is the most expensive of the lot.

Are they from the same manufacturer? Quality does play some role, the PSU is often underappreciated. Depending on how you are going to use your rig, you may want to consider the noise level.

I just noticed that you had a 700w included, I only skimmed the specs and noticed the 420w tower. 700 should suffice.

Is it modular while the others aren't?

I don't think you need that much wattage for 2x 4850s, considering a g260 only needs bout 550, but then again your builds a bit different, 700 would be on the safe side.

Also, might i recommend windows 7? 100x better then Vista, maybe 2x better than xp, and its free until 2010, which saves you bout 150 bux.

edit: nvm, your setup is prebuilt

Well, if you build it yourself you save a crapload of money, and the parts are much better quality, plus you have lots of room to upgrade. The thing is, building it yourself maybe troublesome for a first timer. I recommend you read up on how to build a PC and see if you understand. Its generally pretty straightforward.

Why do you have 2 HDs? Plus like i said, get rid of the vista and get windows 7, will give you money for a better GPU. 4890s are pretty cheap nowadays. The mobo and cpu is very good, leaves room for OC and upgrading (SLI).

I have 2 HDs for the reason you can never have enough storage. The 500 if for the OS and games the 1tb is for TV programs, films excreta. The vista OS is there because it has a window 7 voucher with it. As for the GPU the price above is for two of them they are about £114 + Vat each, compared to £172 + Vat for a single 4890.

I intend to read everything I can find on building computers before I order anything.

Ah i see, very nice. I myself would rather get a newer single card, and then SLI that maybe later, but you can't really go wrong with 2 4870s. Anyhow, by all means go ahead and built it youself, you wont regret it ;).

I agree. Building it versus pre-built is better. Pre-built sucks, for the most part.

    I herd ur mom was pre-built. :3

Also, looks like a decent system thus far, and I do advise building it yourself like everyone else has. You won't really get a good pre-built system unless you shell out a couple grand, and even then its a maybe, maybe not type decision when its cheaper to build it yourself and you can still use the awesome parts.
