"Silly William bringing guns to a tank fight"

That was best line of the day

Kind of annoyed that they left it wide open for a future season. But then, they can hardly write the first season, planning on it to be canceled.

They advertised this show before the premiere, and they got like 6m viewers. it hasn't been mentioned since, no wonder there down to the average 1.5m. I loved the premiere, but still forgot to watch it the next week, without a nice comercial reminder.

Awesome show, shame it's over. It looked like they rewrote the ending. To me it looked as if originally it was meant to end with Silas more willing to let David take over, but that would of been a slow process, and instead they ended it with a dramatic fight and David on the run but will inevitably come back.

Did anyone else find the son's punishment not that bad? He just has to sleep with that hot chick over and over. Doesn't sound too bad to me. The King's brother got the bad end of the punishment deal imo.

I can't believe it's over... that was one of the best tv shows I've ever watched. Plenty of things in this episode were awesome.

-Silas just strolling up the street, and the arrival of David in Gath tanks straight after.
-Rev. Samuel's death, and presence afterwards.
-The conversation between Silas and God was as great as one could hope it to be (a little corny, but brilliant anyway).
    -Rose: Husband. Silas: Wife.
-Rose exiling Michelle so she'd be safe during her pregnancy.
-The butterfly following David at the end as he crosses into Gath.

There were a couple more but I've mindblanked on them. Have to rewatch the entire series soon - DVDs out in September, wasn't it? Hopefully it'll come to Australia.

Ian McShane did a great job. Same with Christopher Egan, who I admit I was prejudice towards because he was in Home and Away (an Australia soap; think Days of our Lives with more focus on teenagers and near a beach). Hope McShane does another show.

Jack's gay remember. He can barely bring himself to look at her, let alone sleep with her until she's pregnant. What I don't understand is how she doesn't understand that Jack hates her and wants nothing to do with her.

I don't think they rewrote the ending. I remember an interview McShane did on the Daily Show where he said that NBC had already filmed all of season one before they aired it. There's no reason for them to rewrite/shoot a brand new episode and waste all that money for a show that's already being canceled anway. Also, it fits with the history of King David, since he really did have to get out of Israel and defect to the Philistines.
