In my initial days at FF.net, I used to go straight to the 20K+ stories, as it seemed a bit tedious to go through all the stories to get the few good ones to read. Obviously, this resulted in me missing out on a few good one shots.

Any good one shots that you have read, and won't mind reading again in the future?

You did not specify which fiction you were searching for good one-shots in. I don't know many good Harry Potter ones, but I do know of an incredible Calvin and Hobbes one. If you read the comic as a kid then this will get you in the heart. If you did not...well, it may not have the same impact, but check it out regardless.

The songfic was as horrible as my expectations led me to believe. Sirius goes to Peter because something didn't feel right. Way to be original and non-contrived.

 

Well it's suppose to be about the song, but yeah overall quality wasn't the greatest.

Any qualms with the Albus, Rose, Scorpius series?

 

Besides the fact that they're about Albus, Rose, and Scorpius?

They're slow, dull, and pointless. I trudged through the first one, and I think this quote from the very end explains it all:

It took nearly 10,000 words to get that far. Not only that, but Scorpius suddenly whips out a flute right before that quote.
