    Hello:

So I'm looking for stories. What stories, you ask? Well...the ones about vampires. I'm basically looking for a Harry/Femvampire stories. Now, I'm very picky about this. It is FemVampire as in female vampire so no slash and I do not want stories where Harry is turned into one, at least in the beginning. It's a lot hotter if he, a perfectly human bloke, hooks up with a sexy ass vampire. Trust me on this. Smut is appreciated but not necessary (I don't get off on reading about sex but it is a part of life and is refreshing/relieving in a story after many pages of tension.) I have already read Forever Knight by DeliverMeFromEver. Please do not include links to stories:

    - with Slash (as mentioned above)

    - that are one shots

    - are less than 50k words(I'd prefer at least 100k but I'm finding it more and more impossible to find stories that fit this category so I have to settle for half)

    - that have horrible grammar and formatting as it does hurt my eyes. I can understand the occasional error but....there is a threshold.....

That's all folks! And again, I am looking for a worthwhile read so if you haven't read the story, please do not recommend it. Or if you have read the story, don't recommend it if you do not believe that it is one of the better stories you have read. Thanks guys! Ciao!

I hate vampires. I haven't cared for them since waiting for The Queen of the Damned to come out when I was in college (and being thoroughly underwhelmed). Buffy might have been good if it weren't for the vampires.

Regarding your request, the only story that comes to mind for me is a bit "meh"--it's angsty and lacks a strong ending, but it's at least complete and competently written: Harry Potter and the Rune of Alacantera by Mione5. The author writes mostly slash/mpreg, but this one isn't...
except for an episode of Vernon raping Harry that's referred to in the story.

    Thank you all for replying.

To Andromalius, it's indeed a small world as I recall reading this story sometime ago. It is worth a reread so I thank you for bringing that to my attention. As to my story, I've written several stories but I do not recall ever posting them on FFN and none of them have the title Heart of a Lion.
Edit: Actually, I'm more than greatful now. The last time I read this story it was still unfinished. Not only is it finished now, it has a sequel. Thanks again!
Edit: I stand corrected. The sequel seems to be a Harry/Ginny pairing.

To darklordmike, it's worth looking into since vampire stories are so rare. Beggars can't be choosers.

To Perspicacity, disturbing....very disturbing. And I can't help but be intrigued by your signature. A Mother-in-Law's Love? I have to check that out.

Wat ..? I'm following it, and while there are hints of it (meaning, from Ginny's side), Harry still totally is into Rayne and doesn't care about Ginny at all. Granted, Rayne's not around with the exception of one or two chapters, but that makes the story gen if anything, not H/G. It dragged a little, but recently, I thought it picked up again. Even if I'm still pissed that Draco of all people got to screw the hot DADA teacher :/

@OP: Removing stories where Harry is a Vampire from the list makes the already small number of fitting stories tinier than tiny >_>

I'd second this as a guilty pleasure.

Ouch. Glad to know I was right in abandoning the sequel three-quarters a chapter in.

I hadn't read the last few updates, and the last one I did read was the one where the said "hot DADA teacher" was introduced, so I remember hoping for some action there but you just ruined it for me... Draco, seriously???

What's next? Fucking Severus Snape shagging Rayne?! o_O and what a potential this one use to have... (shakes head sadly)...

On a different note - Sesc are you planning on updating "By That Last Candle’s Light" before the end of this year? ...or the next one?

Not necessarily. The fact that Harry gets a "warm fuzzy feeling" when he thinks about Ginny is sickening enough. Rayne has been pretty much absent this entire story with one exception on Christmas where she sneaks into Harry's room for one night stand and leaves again. The one before that was in Harry's wet dream. That and the fact she referred to herself as the ex is not very encouraging.

Now in reference to Darkholme...I barely managed to hold my lunch in when I read Draco "thrusting inside her." Where the hell did that come from? Draco, by definition, should never score a chick that high on the hotness scale.

    Don't even joke about it.

I have to look into this. I can swear that this name is as original as it gets. I suppose that I picked it up somewhere after all. Now I just have to find out where.

But anyway, I'm all for more Rayne action but it seems that her part in the trilogy is now minimal though the author does hint that she will come back.

On an unrelated note, are we allowed to turn this thread into a discussion about a story? This is a story search...

Moving on, I'm still welcoming more recommendations....

@Trayus: Taken to the story thread.

    Now, short OT:

I don't plan anything anymore >_> Fact is, I have parts of the next chapter written. Fact is also that I had those parts three months ago as well. I just wasn't satisfied with how it turned out -- it's Harry meeting Voldemort and Bellatrix, the crucial chapter for what's supposed to come next, and it didn't work the way I wanted it to, so I pushed it away.

As of right now, I'm working on something else, a short crime/noir novel (~35k words is how it looks like at this time), to get a little distance and prove to myself that I can A) write concise and B) fucking finish something. It looks quite good, I'm already more than halfway through. If I like how that story turns out, it should be out in a month or so. With regular updates. From me. I think the world will end.

The advantage of this story, I found, is that I can write it in bits -- I just wrote 500 words in a break and in the train. That never worked with BTLCL. But yeah, it's not abandoned. I'll make another attempt at it when I'm through with this story.
