This Thread got me wondering if there are any decent 'Vampire Harry' Fics. Most of them are too boring to read and the rest are slash. I liked one ( Curse of Fate) until I found out that it was slash.

Ever since I joined DLP, my reading standard has gone up drastically. So are there any DLP worthy 'Vampire Harry' fic?

 

You might find one in this thread. Or this one. Or even this one.

The first thread is not exactly a 'Vampire Harry' search, the second thread is almost two years old and the third is not even a story search.

So instead of necro posting I am just starting a new thread.

Incidentally, I believe the mods have said that in cases like this, it's typically better to necro than to open a new thread repeating an earlier thread. (When in doubt, ask a mod).

Actually, you'd be surprised how little mods want to hear all of our inane questions, so just ask in a thread and someone will help you as long as it's even partially relevant.

It's a lose/lose situation, honestly. Necro'ing will get you in trouble with regular members, but asking a mod a question they aren't tasked with answering (story-searches is not included, btw) will get them angry at you. So what do you do, make a new thread? Because then people get bugged at you doing that.

And it's all justified.....

I remember reading a Vampire Harry fic where Lily and James abandoned Harry when they found out he was one, and Remus and Sirius took him in.

I think I remember a particular scene where Sirius was singing and dancing to New Kids on the Block, or something stupid like that.

Might have been a Harry/Ginny too. Oh and Harry might have been Vampire Royalty.

Oh NOES! Harry gets bitten by the prince of the most powerful vampire clan. And logic denotes that he would then become the leader of said clan.

Ooh Harry had his power bound by Dumbledore

Unnecessary tension.

Oh shit, Snape has a daughter.

Enter super powered weapon rod staff thing, that is never mentioned again.

Harry doesn't like drinking human blood, unless its Snape's Daughter's blood. But of course she can take a potion so that she doesn't turn into a vampire.

Insert Elves.

Harry and Malfoy best friend party time.

Oh SNAP, Harry has a sister that Dumbledore has hidden from him for the last 16 years.

And at the end.

Harry/OC Snape's Daughter, Malfoy/OC Harry's Sister.

The whole story was basically Dumbledore going "He's never going to forgive me when I tell him..." Followed by something crappy happening resulting in Angry!Harry. Followed by Dumbledore saying "He's never going to forgive me when I tell him..." Followed by Angry!Sad!Harry. Rinse. Repeat.

Fucking terrible.
