Hi, I'm new to these forums and I'm still trying to get used to it all and I apologize if this challenge has already been posted, I tried to look for it and came up with nothing.(I blame my horrible searching skills)

I have 2 challenges for those that are masters with the written word, I'd write them myself but since I love being surprised... well you get my drift.

Anywhoo heres the 2 challenges as promised

Numbull's Challenge #1

Summary:A Harry/Bellatrix/Narcissa NC-17
Rules:
Decent Descriptions
Very little to no crying
Harry is seduced by Narcissa
Harry gains power by studying old magic
Some of Harry's friends have died
Bellatrix becomes enslaved
No lame action(e.g. disarming curse reflecting killing curse)

A Harry/Petunia/Lily NC-17 challenge

Rules:
Decent Descriptions
Harry time travels in order to defeat Voldemort
Harry studies old magic
Tasteful Romanticish Smut
(Harry is his own father??)
Lily doesn't know him
Young Petunia isn't ugly

Actually, if you scroll down, you'll see how similar challenges have been met with similar responses.

If you wanted to post a challenge, you should actually have a plot in mind, you know, something that makes shit make sense.

Basically your post consisted of saying "Omg you guys, you should write some good H/B/N and H/L/P stories! Isn't this a great idea?! I'd write it myself, but I rly liek being surprised!"

 

well shes the only other elf sides dobby thats free and spends most of her time wallowing around in a selfpity state, id think it would be nice to read one with her actually happy, maybe not dobby happy but content. anyways thats the not the main part of this topic lol

There are a lot of stories in the library that can easily be browsed, as well as lists of every story in the library. Not only do we have this, but we also have a tag searching system which is located under the search button along the top. This means you can search for specific pairings etc. e.g. Harry/Narcissa/Bellatrix etc.

However, you are under the misapprehension that I am stating there are lots of stories around with your posted 'requirements'. Instead, I am ridiculing your pathetic ideas for stories, and stating that you should instead read around the forums and see what is acceptable before you start writing up 'challenges' that consist of little more than a pairing you like and certain requirements that you feel the story should stick too.

I would honestly advise you to wander over to the introduction forum, and see what you have missed out on so far, and just how fast the banhammer will come down upon you if you don't act in a fashion which we consider acceptable. Yeah, we are elitist assholes, we know. We like it that way. Its the only reason that DLP remains the tight knit community it is.

I'm being a dick here, but at least I am being a polite dick. I highly suggest you go read around and learn what is expected of you, or leave. Or stay here and lurk. Your choice.

The whole challenge, what you're asking for, comes out something like this.

"I have free time. I need wanking material. Some of you jobless bums whip me up some shit, specifically with so and so pairings. I need to wank, fast."

The plot is the most important part of a challenge. This doesn't have one.

You may or may not have intended to comeoff like that, but...

In other words, look around a bit more and you may just find what you're looking for.
