There were more than that. 13 so far, and I doubt the creators are done yet.

I just hope people don't start writing slashy HP/Toy Stories crossovers, after the movie has been released.

Only the first is worth mentioning.

    The rest were trash.

I don't think that anyone would argue that Gene Wilder could conceivably be topped in the role of Willy Wonka.

You just had to go jinx it, didn't you?

I blame you for any that emerge and hope you get raped by the dancing banana smilie.

    It could happen. Just sayin'.

Dudley had a lot of cast-off toys, and Harry was quite isolated and ronery. A little accidental magic here, a little tickle of sexual confusion, and...well...you know ;)

To infinity and beyond has never sounded gayer.

Anyone seen the movie "Up"? There's a 3D teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 in the previews. The movie was friggin' awesome from beginning to end also. I'd rec to anyone on DLP - and since it's a "children's movie" that's a big deal. Just make sure to go to a late showing rather than a matinee... I went at 3.30 and saw like thirty U-8 kids in line. Needless to say I bought the tickets for the 9 o'clock showing.

    Toy Story 3

Andy, now nearly an adult, (18 years old), is just three days away from heading off to college, and his remaining toys, including Woody and Buzz Lightyear, are worried about their uncertain future as many other toys (such as Bo Peep and Wheezy) have been "yard saled" over the years.

Andy plans to keep Woody and put the others in the attic and places them in trash bags, but his mother sees this trash bag and takes it outside, not knowing that the toys are inside it.

Woody goes to save his friends but it turns out that the toys escaped and are hiding in the back of the Davis's car, thinking Andy has thrown them away. Jessie thinks that the toys should take charge of their own destiny, and convinces them to stow away in a box of other toys headed for donation to Sunnyside Daycare, while Woody attempts to explain to the toys that they were accidentally thrown away. Before they can leave, Andy's mom closes the back door and drives to Sunnyside to donate some old toys.

The gang arrives at Sunnyside just as the children leave for recess. The Sunnyside toys welcome Andy's toys with open arms, including the leader of the daycare, Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear (A.K.A. "Lotso"), and a smooth-talking Ken doll, who falls in love with Molly's Barbie doll. The toys are keen on starting a new life at the daycare, except for Woody, who has suspicions about the daycare because of the Chatter Telephone, and also thinks that the toys shouldn't turn their back on Andy so quickly.

The toys think Woody should stay with them at Sunnyside, but Woody reluctantly leaves to find Andy. Woody escapes from Sunnyside using a hang glider, but ends up losing his hat and getting stuck on the branch of a tree. Woody is soon taken home by a sweet little girl from Sunnyside named Bonnie, who takes him to meet her own toys, including Trixie the triceratops, Mr. Pricklepants the Hedgehog, Dolly, Chuckles the Clown, and Buttercup the Unicorn. As Woody tries to recuperate himself and continue his search for Andy, Chuckles explains to Woody the dangers of Sunnyside.

Chuckles tells Woody that himself, Lotso, and Big Baby, one of Lotso's henchmen, were once owned by a loving girl named Daisy. However, one day, she accidentally left them at the countryside. They returned to Daisy's house to find that Daisy's parents bought a new Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear for her, leaving Lotso feeling betrayed and confused. The toys went to Sunnyside where Lotso and Big Baby quickly rose to power and transformed the daycare into a toy prison, while Chuckles was taken home by Bonnie.

Woody quickly realizes that he must save his friends and get back to Andy before he leaves.

While reading that, every Sunnyside automatically became Sunnydale in my mind. I don't know if that makes it better or worse.

Just came back from seeing it.

Only negative thing I can say about it is that the 3D didn't seem to be used effectively, but then again, I never really saw the point in it even in Avatar.

Not going to spoil anything that you wouldn't be able to already assume, but I cried multiple times during this movie. Very, very good, and all of you should be seeing it right now.

I just wish they made the release closer to the second one, and not 10 years later :/

I probably won't see it, no matter how good it might be, just because I don't want to watch all the other ones again, and the trailer looked odd.

I'll watch it when it comes out on Blue Ray

I actually just got back from watching it - it was definitely well worth the extra cost for watching it in 3D, and it's definitely deserving of the high praises that it received on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movies was actually fairly dark at some points, considering it's Toy Story - I keep remembering the blissfully happy memories of the original Toy Story when I was much, much younger.

But Pixar really outdid itself here. I really, really recommend it, if you have the time to watch it.

Pixar did an excellent job of making it feel like this movie was dedicated to those of us who grew up with the first two Toy Story films.

It wasn't a fan service, like many sequels nowadays. All the main characters worth having were there, but it felt fresh, nothing truly rehashed. And the darker tone definitely was a great touch.

Well worth the $10.75 I paid to see it.

Blissful happy? Do you not remember the neighbor torturing and destroying his toys? The doll head with the mechanical arms and legs? Said neighbor melting the toy soldiers? Do I need to go on?

The first one had its dark moments as well.

Fuck. A children's movie should not have made me want to cry so much. I definitely recommend that everyone watch it.

Man, that baby doll with the spider attachments creeped me the fuck out when I was a kid.

Tempted to watch it online, but I think I'll wait until July to watch it in the UK. Why the whole month gap between the two release dates, I'll never know.

They have to ship it by tugboat across the Atlantic. Well worth the wait, though.

Great movie. Pixar has always managed to do an excellent job of blending their movies to appeal to multiple demographics. The first two Toy Stories had dark elements as well, you just didn't remember them.

Toy Story 3 lived up to its predecessors, and brought some good closure to a series. Pixar is all kinds of amazing. Some of the scenes in this movie were worthy of Lord of the Rings. Pixar knows how to set a stage.

More than deserves all the praise its getting, considering all the things that could have gone wrong with this movie that were amazing instead. Also, the monkey freaked me right the hell out, not even playin'.
