I am looking for H/L post-hogwarts fics, that don't include turning Voldemort into an inferius

I can't seem to find anything good, going by the summaries, but if anyone has a fic they would recommend then please do.

What I am looking for is quite broad, but a few restrictions. Most definitely not canon-epilogue compliant, and very preferable no book 6-7 compliance (for the sole reason of I don't want prior or future H/GW ship). I am shamed to admit that I have read my fair share of post-hog H/G fics, in fact that is why I got into fanfiction in the first place, I wanted to know what happened between b7 and epilogue.

Other than that, I am a very open person. I don't care if it is just a fic where Harry goes through Auror training, or something else entirely. Hopefully though, it will be "A life with Luna would never be boring" sort of thing.

 

Have you tried reading the Harry/Luna story by Meteoricshipyards(sp?)? It's a fairly decent Harry/Luna story.

I found it an amusing read.

 

Oh, I've seen that fic a ton of times but never read it due to it's summary, and I have read the Rorshachs Blot ficlette :/ I guess if it is good I will give it a shot.

 

I hesitate to pimp my own story (link in signature) because it received mixed reviews here (currently languishing in the Recycling Bin at three stars) and because it seems like bad form, but I'm going to anyway because of the dearth of replies.

It meets most of your requirements. Post-Hogwarts. Not epilogue compliant. Partially book 6-7 compliant, but with allusion to major AU details (starting IIRC with the manner of Dumbledore's death plus more/different horcruxes). Very brief mention of past H/G that lasted all of two seconds.

On the other hand, it's an unhappy (pre-post-apocalyptic?) story and most certainly not "a life with Luna would never be boring" kind of thing. There are definitely glimpses that their relationship is unhealthily dependent. It clocks in at 7000 words, though, so give it a read.

I recall Luna's Hubby getting more and more unbearable with each chapter. Super-special superchildren start grating on you after five or six chapters. I usually can stomach this kind of thing, but it was just so egregious here I couldn't force myself to finish it. Honestly, I'm surprised it made the DLP Library. It just doesn't seem like the kind of thing most people here would enjoy.

EDIT: Also, SirLordWhAtEvEr's Apples, Brooding and Crosswords. A oneshot that always makes me laugh.
