This. He fits right there for me in with Ferrel, most Rogan movies, and Jonah Hill that aren't funny at all, or are only watchable stoned/drunk.

 

What's your definition of most because I loved Rogan in Funny people and Pineapple Express. Zack is overated because of the Hangover as his standup is sort of subpar and Will Ferrel used to e funny.

Knocked Up was one of the few movie's he's been in that I can stand, and even then the movie was ruined because it was so stupidly unbelieveable that he ever would of gotten Heigel in bed, even with her shitfaced drunk. Funny People to me was a giant bomb, and I didn't watch Pineapple because I'm beyond sick of the stoner type "Apatow Jew Crew" movies that have plagued Hollywood lately.

Will was funny on SNL, but mostly after that to me, not so much. Old School was alright, but all the rest of his movies I just watch once and move on.

 

I don't understand it I thought Funny People was Apatow's one really good movie. It had real characters with conflicts that actualley made sense. It wasn't just a comedy, perhaps thats the reason people didn;t like it because they expected it to be another knocked up ro something like that. Knocked up was ok but it had no real meaning it was to fake to really get into it.
As for the jew crew movies, I diden't get a overwhelming feeling of Jewishness from any Apatow movie honestly. Yes some of the actors and crew are jewish, but so is most everyone in hollywood. I think your confusing Bromance with Jewmance.

 

Jew crew or Jewtang clan is what they call themselves, it's nothing I came up with.

Funny People I expected to be awesome, and yes it had characters with conflicts, and looked at it like that it wasn't a bad movie. But they billed it as comedy, and it wasn't. I laughed a few times sure, but it had more downer moments.
