I felt I had to throw both of these into one just because.

I looked and I didn't see anything about either of these so I thought I'd make a thread. First up Ridley Scott the man behind so very many of the famous movies of the past several years is directing a movie based on the board game "Monopoly" and so far from everything I've found it isn't going to be something that just remotely relates to it, its actually going to be about the game as an Alice in Wonderland type thing.

Second on the list Peter Berg will be directing the film adaptation of the classic board game "Battleship" which will now feature aliens and Liam Neeson. I just don't know what else to say beyond that.

True Story: Clue is the only board game movie worth watching.

 

Why is that that rappers and R&B "artists" these days think they can act?

 

Perhaps because making money via record sales is dying?

 

Pfft. I'm less worried about Rihanna, that I am stunned Liam Neeson would be in a BATTLESHIPS board game inspired movie. :|

BUt it does bring about the amusing image of Neeson sitting across from some alien fag, "G4." And it shouting "DAMN IT YOU SUNK MY HIVEMIND! D:"

 

I was skeptical of the Monopoly premise, but it actually sounds interesting after reading the article. It really depends on how Monopoly City looks, though. I'm curious as to the intended audience for this movie.
