I have a slightly selfish reason for posting the dicussion topic, but the other half is curiosity.

Do you think Fleur is a person to worry about age? I mean if she ever did accept Harry in canon based on what we know, I mean she dosen't care about looks, and Bill is a fair bit older than her, but wether she would care if they were younger than her is something I'm curious about, as looking back at her character it's a 50-50 choice from what it shows.

P.S. while talking about Fleur as I'd hate to make anothr topic when this one would do, does anybody know if her parents occupation has been revealed? I mean I've seen a few fics where she is the French Ministers daughter, and another where she is an assassin's daughter.

The occupation of Fleurs parents as rich socialites is pure fandom and kind of annoying honestly.
Where the hell was she an assassin's daughter?

First off, I think this could go in the H/F thread. Second, I don't think she'd worry about it too much. But in GoF its clear that she first sees Harry as too young, calls him "little boy" but I think her mind is probably changed after the second task, if not even by the first task.

As for her parents, they obviously have some cash and Fleur's mom seems a bit like a trophy wife, altho she's good at household charms.

I'm honestly curious as to what is occupying you that much that it warrants five threads in the General or the Fanfic Discussion in the last... five or so days. You know, if you want to write a fanfic what much, it won't write itself. :p

    OT:

Question: Does Fleur care about age?

Answer: We don't know? And frankly, we don't care?

If someone (you) wants to make Fleur get together with Harry, there are all kinds of obstacles to go through. If you are eg having a fic set in GOF, age is a serious issue. For someone 14 and 17 years old to get together, that normally doesn't happen everyday. If, lets say, the fic is set Post-Hogwarts, and Harry is... lets say 24, and Fleur 27, then age shouldn't be an issue. At that stage, all parties involved should have matured, a scant difference of three years should be easily overlooked. All a matter of perspective. And a matter of the author. Was that that hard?

    On Side-topic:

Question: Do we know FD's parents occupation?

    Answer: No.

It might be generally assumed that Fleur is coming from a rich, high-ranking family. We have no proof in canon. People say that the disdain Fleur shows for the Weasley living-style indicate that she must be rich. The fact that the Weasleys are actually the poorest of the poor seems to get lost on them. Also, we know that Mrs. Delacour is very accomplished in household charms (said in book 6, I think. I leave the exact quotation to the canon-gods on this page). This, however could indicate that the family is in fact not that wealthy. That wasn't that hard either, was it?

PS: Also, just sayin', there this thread that deals exclusively with Fleur. If you really feel so bad about making new threads, first make sure that the thread you want to make is perhaps not unnecessary because another existing one already covers it.
