Do want. Very, very do want.

Release date is June 14, 2011. I couldn't find a thread, so I made one.

Edit: Lol, still sounds like good news. Alice holds rank as one of my favorite games right next to Myst.

... Oh fucking hell yesss. So want. Waiting on this for ages. Ditto for the movie they were supposed to be making. Even if they made it a shitty B-class movie al a Army of Darkness added to a collectors edition.

...Especially if it was a B-movie, come to think of it...

Also the new damned Red Riding Hood movie reminds of an old McGee project in the wings that likely fell through... American McGee's Red.

Admit it, you fapped to that.

What is he going to do with Little Red Riding Hood? There simply isn't a lot of material, so we can look at the sum total of the components of the tale and comprehensively figure out ways to grimmify them.

It'll take place 100% in a forest, so it'll fall short of Alan Wake. The woodsman in the fairy tale (I think there is one) will be corrupt and evil, pursuing her axe-murderer style. The wolf will be haunting her in the background and always be one-step ahead, letting Red find slaughtered villagers or something. The grandmother will be gruesomely killed, or in a twist will be this sadistic monster even worse than the wolf.

Alice in Wonderland was the only tale that had the entire environment worked out with the cast of crazy characters already lined up. That's the precise reason American McGee chose Alice rather than any of the others.

The red riding hood adaption is still in the works, or so I've heard. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it, if it happens. As it is, I'm debating which console to get Alice on.

To quote Joystiq; Red has never looked so bad ass.

    Also:

I was ready to swear he put it into the Grimm episode games... Guess not. That .. was something to look forward to as well.

Old thread is old, but -

Thought the launch trailer was a good enough reason to make a new post.

I never played the first, never really wanted to. Then I saw the previews for this and thought, maybe? Interesting? Gory? Not for me, just seemed like it was going to make some fucked-up shit and have the main character battle it. Not for me, I'm not one for pointless gore.

Then I saw the trailer, and pretty much my fears were satisfied, until I started seeing past the gore to the comments that were being made. Allusions to wonderland being her. Madness being a place you could visit. Then I started thinking this maybe a mental fuck as well...

I may check this out, reviews notwithstanding, because I'm a sucker for madness and psychological shit done right.

    Damn Moar

I just finished the game. It was seriously badass. It keeps screwing with your mind so you never really know what is going on (until the end). You go to wonderland at odd times and then the real world at odd times. Time gaps. The works. While everyone is telling you your insane you keep getting flashbacks and it works out to a really awesome story. I stayed in for the last 3 1/2 days to get through to the end and now I want a sequel damn it.
