Meh. The most interesting thing about that so far is Arthur's actor, who I'm pretty sure is young!Grindelwald.

I think that they've already put the pilot on Starz OnDemand. It premiered a week ago on Starz, and there'll be a new episode tonight for anyone who can watch it who wants to watch it.

    Watched it.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, given that it's a Starz fantasy show. But, OH MY GOD IS THAT ACTUAL DIRECTING INSTEAD OF LOL-SPESHUL-EFFEX-BLOOD!? The directing was actually the biggest thumbs up for me, to be honest.

    Well, second biggest.

It has Eva Green fucking on screen in the first episode. Then it has a full frontal (well, most frontal) at the end of the second episode.

That said, the script needs some work. And fucking Merlin is a fucking 30-year old looking skinhead with attitude problems. Donotwant.

Fourth episode is by far the best. This show is slowly progressing it's way out of 'pretty good for starz' to 'actually good.' Merlin's character just became my favorite. I think this is the most interesting explanation for the lady of the lake and Excalibur I've seen. Overall this show is showing more promise. I hope it keeps getting better.

Just seen this episode and while I think that the show is bad and's only gonna get worse, this episode made me like Merlin. The way that he bullied the blacksmith daughter, then caused her death while in pursuit of the sword, then lying his ass off with the story of the "lady of the lake"...

Gonna keep watching for the lulz.

Lady of the Lake was pretty good. Original, at least.

But the rest of the show really sucks. There's absolutely no conflict, no tension. The only current "problem" is Arthur being in love with Guinevere and the woman being married to Leontes. But who cares? Hardly anybody that watches fantasy stories set in the middle-ages cares much for romance as the focus.

We could really do with some action already. Someone threatening the throne, at least. Lot made things interesting at first, but he died in the second episode. So where's the conflict? Eva Green is hot and all, but she doesn't do much. She invited Arthur and Merlin for dinner, ffs. If she wanted the throne that bad, she could've slit their throats instead of giving Merlin a manicure.
