This is all I get. Anyone else getting this, or did they move, and if so, whither?

Perhaps only part of it? I can still move about on the characters and timeline page.

If the Lexicon goes down...that would be very bad for fanfiction writers, period; it's the best source for canon and obscure fact checking/finding.

Have the owners abandoned it, or is the site in general just idle?

Ah, that's funny. I tried to use it for the first time half a year or so and it had gone down.

It could be a temporary thing, just a missed payment or two, or it could have finally entropied and become abandoned. I vote the former.

Regardless, this would be a sad resource to see go. Hope that doesn't happen anytime soon.

The Harry Potter wiki (harrypotter.wikia.org) is fairly decent for providing most information, thankfully. I've actually used it several times over the lexicon because it's easier to navigate >.>

The problem with the wiki is that it's filled with assumptions while the Lexicon was fact and nothing more.

Did he ever get that book of his printed? Maybe since he finally got that out, he figured he'd let the website fade away and try get more people to buy it... eh, who knows. Pretty shitty if it goes down forever.

I like to use this one as well. The search bar seems to work better, at least for me.
Anyways, the www.hplex.info portion of the lexicon site is still up. <- This is part of the same site isn't it? Or am I getting it wrong and this is a different site altogether?

It happened before, and back then they only changed their domain name. The site isn't down, only the domain needs to be fixed. The other domains pointed out above work fine.

Also, this. The wiki jumps from facts to assumptions to straight up bullshit with no indication whatsoever, and the problem is, you never know what is which. So in the end, you have to search for the sources yourself, and if you're already doing that, you don't need a lexicon in the first place. Basically, as a lexicon, it's useless.
