Suprisingly large amount of shit, especially from ABC. Grimm will appeal to Supernatural fans, and it's nice to see Will Arnett and Hank Azaria with shows.

Prime Suspect looks fantastic, not a lot else from CBS.

ABC has a lot of new shows, but not really new ideas. Charlie's Angels, Tim Allen, and what looks like a modern M.A.S.H? Once Upon a Time and The River could be good.

Fox looks like it could having something awesome in Terra Nova, which is basically Jurassic Park on TV.

Edit: Added more NBC, most of those being mid-season replacements. Awake looks fucking brilliant, and I can't understand why it's mid-season.

Terra Nova does look badass, but I'm worried their budget will be too much for Fox to want to keep it on.

Terra Nova does indeed look fantastic it is however on Fox though and apparently quality television burns them like crosses to vampires so I'm not going to get attached.

I there are really 3 shows there that I'd be even mildly interested in seeing.

    Grimm
    Person of Interest
    Terra Nova

The rest are for the most part, pure and utter shit.

Not sure when it's starting but The Finder, a spinoff from Bones, is supposedly coming to Fox soon. I enjoyed the episode of Bones, so I'd probably watch it.

I'm probably the only one here, but I kind of liked Up All Night. Person of Interest looked quite awesome.

I'd add Prime Suspect to Dr. Strange Lulz list.

I agree. Out of all the comedies on that list, Up All Night really stood out.

That looks like a more serious version of Psych. All he needs are dad issues and a blonde cop to hit on and it would be Psych.

Also looking forward to NBC's Awake which looks pretty crazy and has the awesome Jason Isaacs in it.

I couldn't stand the pilot for Finder. The characters seemed less like actual characters and more like a mess of cute quirks thrown together.

Up all Night has Christina Applegate and the guy from Arrested Development, I think it's going to work, at least for a season or two.

Terra Nova is AWESOME. Can't wait. The same for Persons of Interest.

Also, the New Girl looks like a funny comedy. It seems S*!@t my dad says is starting back up with Tim Allen instead of William Shatner, although the "And Beyond" at the end of the trailer was kind of funny.

The rest are crap though, just like the 2010 batch.(Exceptions being Game of Thrones and Happy Endings)

I did. Actually enjoyed it, but only because of Arnett and Applegate; their chemistry is beautiful.

The writing was... up and down, I think is fair. Most of it was well done, but a couple of scenes just felt like the writers were trying too hard - like the bit where they argue over who was awake for how long. I smiled, but it came off as fake, and it was only the delivery that made me buy it.

I have little-to-nothing to say about Maya Rudolph's character.

I'll give it another week to see if the funny stays.

I also caught Free Agents last night - Hank Azaria needs more work. the man is great.

Tony Head makes a cardboard cutout watchable, but I hope his boss character gets some more depth.

The secretary bitch did not make me laugh.

Kathyryn Hahn was good, but her character just felt... I don't know. Like I'd seen her before in a dozen other sitcoms. No, you know what? She felt a career-minded Nancy Botwin, with wine instead of pot and a job instead of children.

I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't hate Arnett, because I haven't really liked him prior. Disclaimer: I never had a chance to catch Arrested Development, and as I have a man-crush on Jason Bateman, that's a shame.

I don't know if I'd be a fan of Applegate if I hadn't known and loved her from Married... With Children. She's somehow sexy and not at the same time..

I liked that argument a lot better than the stupid "How is this baby so strong?" "We're on your side!" "We're trying to help you!" bullshit. That might happen in the first week or two, but that baby is several months old, at least old enough for Applegate to go back to work, and by that point you've been around the block, so to speak and wouldn't bother saying shit like that anymore.

One reason I wanted to watch the show was the trailer of their "You wanna do it real quick?" "No, I don't wanna 'do it.'" thing. That was funny as hell, and closer to real life than anyone without kids realizes...

Yep. I used to really like MR and thought she was pretty hot back on SNL, but I wanted to punch her in the face watching her last night.

Again, I thought I would hate it/him, but he's got some real chops. I can't not picture him as the pool-boy from The Birdcage, however... I also figured he was too old for this show, but as it turns out he's just about right.

Man, are we soul-mates or wat? I also didn't think the sassy secretary played well, and the boss was just dickish enough to make it work.

I didn't think she could pull it off beforehand, but she was actually quite sexy in that confident-woman way. She isn't gorgeous but she pulled off the "fuck you, I may be an emotional wreck sometimes, but I get shit done" that I find massages my sociopathic co-dependency glands. Ah, Portus... do I sense a bromantic feeling coming on?

I heard they network tweaked MR's character - she was supposed to originally be in PR, like Samantha from SatC. The reviews I read said the change seriously impacted the character and destroyed the amusement factor.

Awake is the only other show I'm interested in - Terra Nova just doesn't pull me; I've been done with dinosaurs since 1993.

Prime Suspect looks like it could be good, but I'm so fucking sick of the commercials that I'm purposely not watching it out of spite. Also, her line "Everybody got on board right now, because this is happening," pisses me off. It's redundant and non-sensical, and makes me rage.

Absolutely nothing else looks like it will draw my attention.

Grimm will be DOA. The genre fans are already split over Fringe and Supernatural in that time-slot.

I'll check out 2 Broke Girls, The New Girl, Terra Nova, Awake, Alcatraz, and maybe Person of Interest.

No one's mentioned Sarah Michelle Gellar's new series, Ringer. I caught the first episode and it was actually entertaining. I hope it holds up.

Others I want to check out, are:

    The River
    Terra Nova
    Revenge
    Allen Gregory
    Once Upon A Time
    Missing
    Person of Interest
    Awake
    Grimm

My biggest doubts are for Revenge and Once Upon A Time. They might be too soapy. I'll give them a try anyway.

edit: Add Alcatraz - thanks, Cyclops.

    Awake looks damn good.

And Grimm would be much better if it were brothers. That's just classic for the Grimm stories, to not do it is almost blasphemy. Then again that might just make it too much like Supernatural.

So, i just went ahead and watched the first episode of Ringer.

I'm... surprisingly liking it actually. It seems to be really story focused, and there are definite twists all over the place. I could see myself actually really liking this show.

I've seen The New Girl and Up All Night so far, and I'm not overly impressed.

All the bits that could - with a stretch - be called funny in The New Girl were in the trailer, and since there's nothing of value to be found in the characters or the story, it kinda comes up short. I'll give a shot to the second episode, but I seriously doubt it'll be worth watching.

Up All Night was okay, but the Ava character (played by Maya Rudolph, I gather from LC's post) really killed every scene she was in. The married couple dynamic works though, and I could see myself following this if the writers get their acts together.
