    Trailer.

Right now one of the most interesting new shows that were announced for the next season. Hope it will be as good as it has a potential to be.

Thats a brilliant idea for a story. It for some reason reminds me a lot of the old NBC story Journeyman.

And I maintain that show should never have been canceled.

Unfortunately, I am jaded and I fear the first episode will be the best part of the series and then its down hill from there.

Looks interesting, and worth watching which means it'll get cancelled after 4 episodes.

Wow, Journeyman, it has been a while. Fucking NBC.

It looks excellent. I will have a hard time not seeing Jason Isaacs' character as Lucius Malfoy. :)

This looks really, really good. Unfortunately they're going to find a way to ruin it - but until then it'll be pretty awesome.

Can't wait for it to start.

The first time I opened the trailer, all I could see was Lucius Malfoy with an American accent and being a cop.

    But then the dialogue started.

I'm really, really looking forward to watching this when it premieres.
    Fucking awesome.

Already got a thread on this here. I like the look of this, though I'm leery about the network it's on and the longevity. I imagine on a channel like AMC this would be fantastic, but we'll see how it works out.

Completely blown away by it. Don't watch much TV, but I think I'll tune into this. Great find.

Awesome soundtrack, the same one as Another Earth. Also a slightly similar concept. Think I'll also tune into this.

There is a free preview of the premier episode streaming on Hulu.

I only just noticed it tonight and unfortunately won't have the time until tomorrow evening. I figured I would post it though in case some others might like to see it. I'll see if I can't write a short review after I watch it tomorrow.

I enjoyed it. The use of colour's to show which reality he was in was a nice touch for the viewer. I can see the episodes having a minor overarching story with the main focus on individual investigations, and dealing with the 2 different timelines.

    It was worth watching.

Very moving pilot. You can probably safely miss the debut of every new show but this one.

The show conveys the impossibility of his dilemma very well, because he can't trust either psychologist. I love the photography and lighting of the scenes. Kind of a sad, helpless tone that makes watching it emotional. Jason Isaacs is the perfect actor for this - you look at him and he just looks like a husband and father.

What remains to be seen is how this show sustains itself going forward.

The speed of how he resolves his cases need to be toned down. He blasted through his first two cases like a lightning bolt. The cop procedural aspect of the show is only decent.

The mechanic of details crossing over feels original and new now, but it won't be five episodes from now.

The experiment with the Constitution that the female shrink showed raises a question I cannot for the life of me figure out. But so far the writers have shown that they're smart, and deserve the benefit of the doubt. I love how they aren't afraid to invite tricky writing on them. It bodes well, because chances are that means they have adequate answers.

I want to see crazy, agenda-breaking things like one of the therapists getting murdered, leaving him completely stranded in the land of the lost. I want the crossing-over of details totally fail him in his cases. The symbolism of these things are so nebulous and elusive. Does this have implications of his brain failing him? How does he handle the absence of a therapist, does he start favoring one reality over the other? What if one of his realities becomes less accessible? If he suddenly winds up in a reality where both are dead, and in a complete mindfuck situation?

Doing these things might raise questions too hard for even the smartest writing crew to resolve. But it would make for a hell of a story. I want so badly for this to meet and shatter all of my expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a dropoff in quality in the second episode. If there isn't, this series will be an epic.

I really, really like it. I literally have never followed a TV show before, but Awake will be the first.

    So much this.

It sounds like you want Life on Mars. The UK one; I never saw the American remake. It's not a bad comparison actually. I hope the creative team have drawn inspiration from it.

Well I would love to see it, but the episode available on hulu is only for US citizens, anybody know where else I can find it?
Edit: Ok, never mind I found it.

There are always some rips on torrent... and you also aren't mean to talk about that stuff.

Speaking of Life on Mars, I hope it doesn't turn out he is actually the only one that died in the car accident and is now reliving this as a sort of limbo before reaching a pair of big pearly gates.

And as I write this the teaser for next week makes it look like his accident was caused on purpose as a sort of plot to kill him or somesuch.

    And so it thickens :sherlock:

p.s. Finally got to use the sherlock face, another check on the list.
