Don't assume illiteracy/stupidity. Assume guilt. You could see the same thing on the last day of the last thread.

I have four prime suspects as of the moment.

    1. Taure for obvious reasons that everyone has stated.
    2. Zeitgeist first you defend Taure and then you claim you want to get a bandwagon going on one target but refuse to get on the one thats started so we can actually kill someone. It comes across as suspicious especially when combined with your large number of accusations.
    3. rats- Ill be honest with you bud every time I start to think that you might not be guilty which is often now you either post some incredibly long and suspicious speech to try and derail the voting or I flash back to the last game watching Ashaya play the "Who me?" card to perfection and murdering everyone and I can't help but want to kill you just to be on the safe side.

Finally we get to my latest addition, Atomicwalrus. You view the thread for a very long time and then when you finally post its just one sentence that goes against the majority vote. You just put yourself on the map.

Honestly, as there are many, many, hours left before the day phase ends and it can sort of be guaranteed that people will come back online before the deadline rolls over:

We should probably rescind/stop voting for Rats. He's probably not a death eater. Just read his posts. I say an auror should investigate him anyway, or at least a hit wizard, but I mean, honestly just read his posts. More than that, do what I just did and spend a few moments looking through his post history and realize that he was against first day lynching before this thread started.

There's no fucking way it's him and I apologize for kickstarting this bandwagon.

    Rescind Vote
    Vote Player: Taure

There, now I've got a non-zero chance of actually voting for someone guilty.

You guys sure can raise a shitstorm in 5 hours.

After reading all that's been said, I agree rat is high on the bullshit meter. That said, Taure is a flowery son-of-a-bitch and we should head him off while it's easy. Do you guys really want to deal with two weeks of his tl;dr role-play stuff that just reeks of misdirection? I say no sir and let's nip this in the bud.

    @Rats

That's a fair point actually. After all, if the known-Auror goes to investigate someone, and the Sorcerer/ess goes to roleblock, then it would be easy to lynch them, thus freeing up the Auror to investigate with impunity... until the Death Eaters/Dark Wizard semi-randomly manage to kill the Healer, but ah well. Well, maybe the Auror should then, all things considered. Good luck making that decision.

Honestly, seeing all of your sensible pro-town arguments, I'm almost positive that you are innocent. Maybe you should have presented yourself better, however that may have been. I really don't see you avoiding a lynching, unless people change their votes. [Edit: Which at least one person already has...]

Sigh alright I'm going to give in here, with my rising doubts and in the interest of group unity I'm going to change my vote as well.

Okay, while rats is probably not a Death Eater, I feel that if we don't lynch him now there will be problems later on. It might turn into another Ashaya vs The Burkley Hut, (Or whoever it was who held it up on the first day last game) in which nobody gets lynched. Then, on the next day, half of the people would go for Taure and half for Rats, again.... leading us nowhere.

Now is the time to get rid of one of them. Not doing so will cause a divide between the town in the end, and will possibly lead to us losing..... again. A large amount of players (10 or 11 I think) have already voted for rats. Thats only a couple away from a lynch. Even though he's probably not a Death Eater (and there always is a chance he is and is just playing us <_<) a lot of people are suspicious of him. If he is not lynched now, there will be problems with him later in the game, with a good portion of the town wanting to lynch him.

You don't know Taure's role for sure, but we know that Rats is either a Wizard or a Death Eater. ( If he was an Auror or Healer he would have role claimed already, he is to close to being lynched to do otherwise) To get the ball rolling, that will be an acceptable sacrifice. Its better than accidently hitting a cop or someone important. And, if on day 2 you guys still want to kill Taure then thats fine, but lets at least lynch rats on day 1.

No offense, but that was either really danged suspicious... or just someone being somewhat reasonably impatient, as based upon your message as a whole. Hard to say either way, this early on.

I didn't mean right this minute, Just today as in game time :p

But yes, I honestly think if we don't lynch rats it'll come back to bite us.

Anyway, before going to bed i'd like to ask a question to the town. We know that we have a serial killer on the loose. Would it be beneficial to the town to let him run around and potentially kill Death Eaters for us, or should we focus on killing him asap. What do you guys think?

I think that if we can figure out who they are... it would probably be worth offing them to get rid of the loose cannon. They certainly would not have our best interests in mind at least, and when they are not killing Death Eaters(which is most of the time), it would simply be making us weaker.

As for Rats, I would almost say that he is too... "crass" to have the silver tongue that has been ascribed to him by a couple of people. He more or less convinced me more through his intensive Pro-Town/Anti-Death Eater suggested strategies which actually seem to make sense(which could be deceitful in theory). If he was a Death Eater, he probably would not want to give such ardent assistance to the Pro-Town side.

At absolute worst, he is a Dark Wizard, but it's most likely(statistically) that he is a mere Wizard. That said, he may be the Healer, trying to get the Auror to reveal himself early to make his job easier, or a Warlock, trying to get the Auror to give him a target. Heck, he could even be the Auror, although I doubt that. Maybe even his hard pushing to investigate Taure, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, is because he is a Hit Wizard, and wants to verify who the Auror is.

As mentioned though, it's really rather hard to say so early, but I am nearly positive that he is not Anti-Town. Then again, such an assurance may merely insure his death-by-night via the Death Eaters, unless they wanted to save a controversial person for later.

I have a few people that I am suspicious of myself(not Aekiel for randomly voting for me, yet), but I need more information. We have more than half a day to go, and I am quite interested in what people have to say. Either way, I'm going to sleep, and eager to see what new developments arise while I'm gone.

Though we live in the same village, I fear that the Dark Lord has placed a "Time Zone Jinx" on our fair habitation. As a result, different parts of the village seem to experience time differently. Why, when you thought it was day, for me it was 4AM and I had to go to bed!

I find those who have switched their vote from Rats to me a bit suspicious.

With the exception of Rats, we've established that it's good to lynch.

So why would these people deliberately split the vote when we were so close to a successful lynching?

Ashaya (rescinded vote from ratstsrub), Ayreon, Fenraellis, Hashasheen, Hero of Stupidity, Lutris, MrINBN, Scrittore, and Taure
13 votes to receive the Dementor's Kiss

If my counting isn't fail, this should be the current tally.

Urgh, we need to lynch; we can't have splits. Personally, I think ratstrub isn't a Death Eater (because if he is, he can't be that colossally stupid and transparent). However, if it looks like we'll reach a split and impasse, I will rescind my vote, even though I previously stated that rescinding votes = fail. A lynch is better than no lynch.

People, don't rescind votes unless you have a very good reason! It causes splits and repeats of Ashaya v. Berkeley Hunt, which means all the more fun to the Death Eaters. This is exactly why you shouldn't vote too hastily.

Vote once, and don't change it.

EDIT: If the people who haven't voted yet don't start posting soon, we are rightfully and truly screwed. May I also remind you that the Serial Killer has the most incentive to keep quiet, while both the Villagers and the Death Eaters squabble among themselves?

We should note people who stay unnaturally quiet; they're the ones both the Villagers and the Death Eaters need to watch out for, lol.

I've been attending to some medical problems today plus time-difference, so I wasn't able to post before. I've been reading through the thread, and I'll have to get back to you guys on who I'm voting for.

Okay, I've slept on the matter and I've concluded that voting randomly isn't going to give us anything good, so I'm going to vote for the person on top of my suspicion list, so:

All right, I've made my decision. Ratstrub seems to have the most votes, and since we need to kill someone to get started with the right momentum, I'm voting for him. I'm ambivalent about Taure, but I'm not wasting my vote on him and splitting this thing like the bullshit that happened with Ashaya.

I think Taure's plenty suspicious, but this, basically.

We can always go for Taure in Day 2, if we need to.

Yeah, I also agree with Hashasheen.

If the votes start going towards someone who isn't Ratstrub, I'll happily change my vote, but at this point in the interests of progress and justice (?) the vote for Ratstrub will remain.
