As DD asks in canon whether Harry asked an older student to put in his name for him, i would assume that this had been a viable way of entering the contest. Harry might not actually ask Viktor, but as he is well aware Viktor doesn't actually want to enter, he may well hint heavily that it would be awesome if Viktor did such a thing. But falling short of actually asking due to plausible deniability - he is aware of legilimenses, and presumably could manage to twist words to maintain innocence.

On the other hand, he may well try and break the age-line, he WANTS to be known as powerful!awesome!Harry, and breaking through an enchantment of DD would certainly show this - more intellectual than Grindelwald, more powerful than Dumbledore...

 

Wise up, do you honestly believe at this point, Harry would be MORE powerful that Dumbledore, this is a realistic rise of Harry to become a great wizard one day, not the shit you read on ff nowadays. Besides I'd acctually be suprised if he rivalled Dumbledore and Grindlewald in the future, nevermind Tom Riddle.

 

No, I don't think he would actually be more powerful. But if he managed to be a tricksy little bugger and make his way past the age line, it would APPEAR that he was more powerful, or at least to the sheeple it might.

And as far as I recall, this Harry is a bit more savvy than canon - potentially he might be able to suss this sort of thing out for himself, hell, he might even have Calypso tell him this.
